This is truly an idyllic location for exploring Yorkshire's Heritage Coast, as well as the scenic villages of the Yorkshire Moors and, farther west, the equally glorious Yorkshire Dales.
Goathland, famous as Heartbeat's Aidensfield, has also featured in the Harry Potter films.Our self catering holiday cottage is within easy reach of Scarborough, York, and historic Yorkshire sites such as Castle Howard and Rievaulx Abbey.
Ellerby View is a single-storey, detached, self catering holiday cottage in North Yorkshire, with spacious gardens to the front and a large terrace and enclosed play area to the rear.
It is situated on the outskirts of the village of Hinderwell in North Yorkshire, just a ten minute stroll from the village shops and local amenities.
Our holiday cottage is conveniently located for Filey, Goathland, Malton, Pickering, Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough, Staithes, Whitby and York.
The house is luxuriously appointed - well deserving of its 5 Stars Gold grading by Enjoy England - and equipped with everything you could ever need, including full central heating, plasma television with Freeview, DVD player (with small library), CD and radio, books, games, picnic hamper, Villeroy & Boch crockery, fluffy towels and hairdryer. The terrace has quality wooden furniture and a gas barbeque.
The area offers a wealth of activities ... spectacular walks, golf, pony-trekking and fishing, to name but a few. We even have hard standing for a sailing boat, but we will be just as pleased if you come simply to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity that surrounds Ellerby View.
Sitting / Dining Room
A spacious entrance hall opens into the attractive sitting / dining room. This
large room has two bay windows with views over the rolling Yorkshire
countryside, comfy sofas, a coal effect fire and rich mahogany furniture. The
walls are adorned with quality pictures, many of which are by local artists.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully fitted with quality oak units. Both it and the adjoining
utility room have integral appliances, including dishwasher, large larder
fridge, washing machine, tumble drier, electric double oven with ceramic hob,
and microwave. There is a deep freeze in the adjoining garage, along with a
useful heated drying area for walking boots and coats.
Bedrooms
The sleeping accommodation comprises three double bedrooms. The master bedroom
is a very spacious double with extensive fitted furniture. The second bedroom is
a large double with fitted furniture and a spacious ensuite wet room fitted with
a power shower. The third bedroom is small; it does have a double bed, but this
room might more comfortably suit one adult or two children. The family bathroom
has a wc, wash basin, bath and separate shower cubicle.
