Holly Lodge is a newly built Self Catering Holiday Lodge based on a farm in rural South Worcestershire.

Sleeping up to 8 people, Holly lodge is the ideal base for visiting the many attractions this part of the country has to offer.

Enjoy a relaxing stay in our Scandinavian-style pine lodge and appreciate the secluded setting, peaceful countryside and panoramic views of Upton-upon Severn , The Malverns and the Cotswolds.

The lodge provides excellent accommodation for up to 8 people with polished pine floors, attractive curtains and well chosen furnishing in all rooms. There are ample parking facilities

In addition to the spacious, attractive and well appointed internal accommodation, the lodge has an outside roof covered terrace complete with table and chairs. The lodge also has its own large and safe garden.

Holly Lodge is a newly built cabin located on Holly Beds Farm, Earls Croome, near Upton upon Severn in South Worcestershire.

Holly Beds Farm is run by David and Sandra Goodwin, and has been run by the same family for over 50 years. The farmhouse itself has a bit more history to it than that however, being timber framed and built in the 1500's!

The farm is set in a wonderful position overlooking the Severn Valley and between the Malvern and Bredon Hills. We are hoping to be able to share our breathtaking scenery with our guests.

The farm has grown over the years and now comprises 630 acres together with 11 acres of woodland. The main enterprise on the farm is the herd of 150 Friesian milking cows. All of their calves are reared for beef. This usually goes to supply Tesco.

The farm also supports a flock of 230 sheep producing finished lamb and wool. The main arable crops are winter barley for consumption by the beef animals and milling wheat for bread making.

100 acres of hay are made on Upton Ham which is a very valuable SSSI site. This is mainly sold to horse owners locally.

The woodland was purchased in 1995 and the main part of it has been felled and replanted with appropriate species to return it to its original semi ancient natural woodland status.

We are in the process of designing a nature trail through the wood so that visitors can see the special fauna and flora that it has to offer.

Holly Lodge provides an ideal base from where to visit a number of different towns and locations with their own individual attractions.

The nearest small town, within 2 miles, is Upton upon Severn. Upton is not only a lovely little town in its own right, but hosts a number of festivals each year which attract people from far and wide.

Upton is a bustling river town with plenty of places to eat and drink, and a local tourist information office.

The Malvern Hills, Worcester and Tewkesbury (with its Abbey) are all within easy reach (all under 10 miles away), Cheltenham and the historic town of Ledbury are not that much further.

Day trips to Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon and the wonderful Cotswolds are easily within range, as is the Forest of Dean and the Severn Valley Railway which runs from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.

If you are planning to come to Cheltenham Races for Gold Cup week, then you will need to book up early - accommodation is always in very short supply that week!

The Tourist Information Centre in Upton has literally dozens of leaflets detailing places to visit within reach of the town.
