Little Barn at Forge Cottage is situated in the centre of the rural village of Welsh-St-Donats, 7 minutes drive from M4 junction 34 and 5 minutes from Cowbridge.
Built 300 years ago.
Once used by the village Blacksmith, today, it has been tastefully converted to provide a very well equipped, contemporary accommodation, which is full of character.
Built 300 years ago, from stone and slate, Little Barn now provides very comfortable, contemporary accommodation with convenient parking. The bedroom has twin beds which can be converted to form a super king-sized bed. In the lounge there is a three-seater leather sofa and also a second generous sized sofa.
Little Barn cottage, which has been awarded five stars by Visit Wales, has been very well equipped for your comfort with full central heating, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, grills etc., TV, DVD and CD hi-fi.
To help you settle in quickly we provide a Welcome Pack including tea, coffee, milk, cereal, bread, spread, marmalade, fruit juice and fruit. Fresh linen and laundry are provided.
Outside there is storage for cycles etc..
Little Barn is situated close to Forge Cottage
and whilst this offers total privacy, it also means that we are still near
enough should you need further information or even a lift to the pub!
Located in a quiet village, but only a 10
minute drive from West Cardiff and a 7 minute drive from Junction 34 on the M4 -
Little Barn is a great base for a visit to South East Wales.
Cardiff - "Europe's Youngest Capital" is a
dynamic city. At Little Barn you are only 15 minutes drive away from the
Millenium Stadium or the exciting Cardiff Bay waterfront development.
The Rural Vale is beautiful and offers a whole
range of options, whether walking or cycling, from your door, playing golf on
one of the championship golf courses (5 to 10 minutes away), fishing or visiting
the elegant market town of Cowbridge (5 minutes away) for fashionable shops,
charming inns, wine bars and restaurants.
The Heritage Coast with its spectacular,
breathtaking coastal scenery not only embraces cliffs, bays and footpaths but
also traditional resorts such as Barry and Penarth.
With ready access to the M4 - Little Barn is
central for visiting all of South East Wales- the wonderful Brecon Beacon
mountains, the vibrant city of Swansea and the beautiful Gower peninsula.
