The Gew
This single storey cottage takes its unusual name from the field nearby. It is
very pleasant with a sunny outlook, through the arched doorway, on to its own
enclosed patio area and would suit a larger family, or those who just like more
space.
The tastefully decorated lounge area has a comfortable three piece suite (with a bed-settee if required), colour television and multi-fuel burner set in a granite fireplace. The kitchen-dining area is very well-equipped with shaker style units, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer.
A carpeted passageway from the living area leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The double room has the benefit of an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The other two bedrooms are twins, although one of them has ‘zip and link beds’ and could be turned into a double bed if previously arranged beforehand. There are built in wardrobes and a chest of drawers in each, and plenty of room in the double or the larger of the twins, for a fold up bed or a cot. The main bathroom is opposite the largest of the twin bedrooms and has a bath with a shower over, washbasin, wc, heated towel rail and airing cupboard.
Parking is a few yards away from the back door, in the car park. Central heating is included in the price for the winter months.
Trengove
Although there only two bedrooms, a double and a twin, this is a far more
spacious property, being part of the main farmhouse.
The entrance is on the courtyard side of the property and leads into the kitchen/dining room, where there is a range of kitchen units with electric oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and pine dining table and chairs.
A door from here leads to the spacious lounge with comfortable furniture, coffee table and colour television.. This is a room of great character, with a very old stained glass window looking out onto the courtyard, timber floor and exposed stone walls around the fireplace area. The wide carpeted staircase is lit by a tall stained glass arched window.
The first room at the top of the landing is the newly refurbished, very attractive bathroom with bath, basin, wc and separate shower. There is a large airing cupboard here which is very useful for drying wet clothes during the winter months. Further along the passageway is the twin room with built in wardrobe and dressing table, and a window which overlooks the courtyard. At the end of the passageway is the main bedroom, which is very large, with windows on both sides of the room, one being another arched window with stained glass overlooking the garden.
Trengove is decorated and furnished in a traditional style in keeping with the mellow character of the house. A sheltered patio area, accessed from the dining room, catches most of the daytime and early evening sun. Electricity, central heating during the winter, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

This little two storey cottage is next to the main farmhouse, with its own
patio, overlooking the garden. It has two bedrooms upstairs, a twin and a double
with built in wardrobes. The bathroom has a continental style ‘tub’ bath

The compact bathroom has a bath with a shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. On either side of this are two bedrooms, carpeted throughout, one with twin beds and the other with a double bed. An interesting feature of this cottage are the two tiny apertures with hand painted stained glass windows.
