The Lodge at Flockton Moor
This luxurious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom property rests in an elevated position, approximately 20 minutes drive from the popular tourist destinations of Holmfirth, Marsden, the Peak District National Park and the Pennines. With outstanding panoramic views over open countryside and across to the Pennines, The Lodge is fully fitted and furnished in a luxurious, contemporary style to the highest specification.

The Lodge exhibits an eclectic blend of traditional barn features with a contemporary edge. If you have been looking for a truly luxurious yet comfortable holiday cottage with stunning views and excellent local amenities – you have just found it!

The Lodge is central heated throughout with the added benefit of under floor heating to the kitchen area. Full double glazing and living flame fire to the lounge area provide for a comfortable and cosy living environment.

Unique features include exposed structural timber beams, large decked terrace with recessed lighting for alfresco dining, hardwood internal doors, granite work surfaces and luxury Italian tiles.

Upon prior request we can provide a cot, high chair and pushchair. All heating, electricity, linen and towels are included. An information pack which provides details of local places of interest from cafes and restaurants through to museums is available within the premises

Leave the M1 at junction 39, then at Cedar Court Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Denby Dale Road. At Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A637. Continue forward on A637 entering Flockton. At Grange Moor Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A642. Take the first left hand turn onto Paul Lane.

From South
Leave the M1 at junction 38, then at Haigh Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A637. At Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A637. Continue forward on the A637 entering West Bretton. At Roundabout take the2nd exit onto the A637. Continue forward on A637 entering Flockton. At Grange Moor Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A642. Take the first left hand turn onto Paul Lane.

From West
Leave the M62 at junction 23 then merge onto A640. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A640 entering Huddersfield. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto New Hay Road (A640). At Gledholt Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Trinity Street (A640). At traffic signals turn left onto the A62. Keep in right hand lane then continue forward under bridge. Keep in left hand lane then continue forward onto the A629. At Waterloo Junction traffic signals keep left onto the A642. At Roundabout continue forward onto A642.Continue forward on A642 entering Lepton. At lepton Edge turn right onto Paul Lane

From East
Leave the M62 at junction 29 and take left hand lane, then join the M1 motorway. Leave the M1 at junction 39, then at Cedar Court Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Denby Dale Road. At Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A637. Continue forward on A637 entering Flockton. At Grange Moor Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A642. Take the first left hand turn onto Paul Lane.

Flockton is a small village situated approximately 20 minutes drive from the popular tourist destinations of Holmfirth, Marsden, the Peak District National Park and the Pennines. With every amenity visitors could possibly need within a short drive from the property, The Lodge benefits from both a rural aspect as well as urban conveniences.

As well as a superb, award winning, fine dining restaurant there is a real ale pub and a wide selection of eating places catering for a range of tastes and budgets all within a short distance from the property.

For those evenings by the fire with a good bottle of wine and a plate brimming with comfort food, why not try our award winning local farm shop at Emley which sells products including raw and cooked meats, groceries, home made pre-prepared meals and fresh baked produce.

For those of you with equine interests there is a ménage and short term holiday livery for your horse just a short walk from the holiday cottage.

Local excursions can include the nearby National Coal Mining Museum for England which is one of Britain’s oldest working mines and admission is free.

For the golfers among you there is a municipal 9 hole course as well as a full 18 hole course situated within a 10 minute drive from the property
