Come to and area of outstanding natural beauty only four miles
from the county town of Lewes with its castle and historic buildings. Only an
hour from London by train and within reach of Gatwick airport and Newhaven ferry
port.
An ideal centre for walking along the beautiful coastline, the South Downs Way,
in the Ashdown Forest or by the picturesque River Ouse here in Barcombe Mills.
A wealth of English heritage lies near, including castles, houses and gardens,
museums, the Bluebell Railway, Glyndebourne, Brighton and Eastbourne.
Each cottage offers accommodation for four people. The double
bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and Twin bedroom has an adjacent shower room.
An open-plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen, with electric cooker,
microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer-drier. Each sitting/dining
area has a colour TV and video.
The properties are fully carpeted and heated by a wood burning stove (logs are
supplied) and back-up electric heaters. Electricity is by coin-meter. A payphone
is available.
