PRESTWICK BYRE
The accommodation is a
recently converted outbuilding adjacent to the main farmhouse. It comprises of a
kitchen/diner and lounge with two/three bedrooms (one twin, one double and one
single). The bathroom is located between the bedrooms and also includes a shower
cubicle. The third bedroom is optional playroom, office or single bedroom
according to requirements
The unit is centrally heated and double-glazed. The fully fitted kitchen
includes a fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine/tumble drier. A
colour T.V. and video are also provided. A play room, office or bedroom
and store area are situated upstairs. The building is protected with
smoke detectors and portable fire extinguishers and has been sympathetically
designed for wheelchairs and the physically disabled. (Applying for Category
2).
Prestwick Farm is a working sheep farm, with 900 ewes set in the picturesque
`Surrey Hills` between Chiddingfold village and Haslemere. Although the
farm is in a quiet rural location most essential facilities can be found
within two miles, including a main line station to Guildford &
London(Waterloo).
The surrounding locality is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and
consists mainly of wooded Downland. Many hills are within walking
distance and afford breathtaking views across the Weald towards the
South coast.
Chiddingfold is a very picturesque and
traditional Surrey village, where life seems to revolve around the `Green`.
There you will find the pond, the church, the village shops and one of the
prettiest and oldest Public Houses in the South East of England.
The city of London, the
South coast. Heathrow and Gatwick airport are all within 30 miles. The nearest
major shopping centre is in Guildford, just 11 miles away.
Being situated midway between London and the South Coast, it is ideally located
for touring by car, or even commuting daily to Guildford or London.
