farm buildings. With lovely hot tub cottages in a superb location, Gladwins Farm
is an ideal base for exploring Constable Country and East Anglia's heritage
villages. Our grounds connect to the footpath network and every cottage has a
mounted Ordnance Survey map of the area. You are spoilt for choice of excellent
restaurants in the area, ranging from homely country pubs to Michel Roux cuisine
and delicious speciality seafood bistros.
Chelsworth - Sleeps 8
Our largest holiday cottage in its own fenced garden and with en-suite bedrooms, which are complete with colour TVs, Chelsworth is designed for up to eight people. Ideal for larger family groups or for joining up with friends. The ground floor bedroom has twin beds and is designed to accommodate our less able guests. Its bathroom has a lowered bath with a shower over and a convenient seat. This cottage is graded NAS Mobility Level 2, so is great for including older members of the family. Centrally heated and with a log-burning stove this cottage is welcoming all year round. Outwardly old-fashioned, inside this cottage has interesting features and comfortable furnishings, plus all the modern conveniences you would expect in a 5 star cottage: Washing machine/tumble dryer; dishwasher; fridge/freezer; colour TV, DVD, video player; sound system; payphone; separate ground floor cloakroom; smoke & fire alarm system. Outside, patio with gas BBQ and furniture, double doors onto the fenced garden where the hot tub is in its own enclosure for privacy and shelter. Wiston - Sleeps 6
Our newest purpose-built holiday cottage with all en-suite bedrooms, NAS Mobility Level 2 and 5 star rating. All the bedrooms have colour TVs. The whole of the ground floor is 'accessible' and there is lots of space in the kitchen/dining room and lounge. Feature fireplace, tasteful decor and exposed beams inside and fenced garden with its own patio and gas BBQ - a home-from-home. With two double rooms upstairs (one can be split into twin beds) and the ground floor twin, this cottage has a really flexible design, great for family groups of all ages. Cot and high chair included. This cottage is nearest to the woodland, great for wildlife spotting, double doors onto the fenced garden. Centrally heated and with a log-burning stove this cottage is welcoming all year round. Constable Sleeps 6
An original holiday cottage converted from the stable block and with an ingenious design to make the most of the available space, this cottage is ideal for a family group. Upstairs there is a twin room with views to the lake off the double, which is itself interestingly adjacent to the open staircase. The downstairs double is next to the bathroom, making it convenient for grandparents. The living room/dining room/kitchen space includes the log-burning stove in its feature fireplace and double doors onto the fenced garden. Full night storage electric heating throughout this cottage. Comfortably furnished with generous sofas, the cottage has a wide inventory: dishwasher; fridge/freezer; sound system; colour TV, DVD and video player. Lovely views over the Stour Valley from the cottage and its garden, enjoy the charcoal BBQ and South-facing sunshine! Pets and smokers welcome.
Gainsborough Sleeps 4
The other half of the stable block conversion, this cottage is all on one level, excellent for small children, as it has no stairs. Double room at one end of the cottage and twin at the other, so Mum and Dad are nicely apart from the kids! Electric night storage heating throughout and a log-burning stove makes this cottage cosy all year. Modern shower room and WC, no bath. The living room/dining room/kitchen is well designed to include the things you need on holiday and there are double doors onto your own patio. Colour TV; DVD and video player. Ramped access front and rear. Pets and smokers welcome.
Lavenham Sleeps 4
One of the four cottages converted from a superb real medieval Tudor barn,
complete with lots of beams and interesting architecture. The upstairs double is
on an open gallery over the living room space and has a roof light to gain the
evening sun, making you feel part of the countryside - there's a blackout
sliding blind so you can sleep on in the mornings! Twin room on the ground floor
ideal for the other family members. Bathroom on the ground floor includes a
shower over the bath. A few steps down the lovely brick steps from the hallway,
the kitchen/dining room/living room is set up for 4 people and the double doors
lead out onto the shared veranda with a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. One of
the sofas in the lounge converts into a sofa bed , which can be used to sleep
one extra person if required. Colour TV, DVD and video player. Full night
storage heating throughout. We keep this cottage 'allergy-free' so strictly no
pets or smokers.
Hadleigh Sleeps 4
A larger apartment-style cottage, part of the main house and all on one floor, this holiday home has great views over the lake and countryside beyond. Large double bedroom and Queen-sized double bed which can be split into twin beds, plus a bunk-bed room which the children really like! This cottage is suitable for our less able guests, as the bath is lower, although there are a few steps from the yard. Large bathroom with a shower over the bath. The separate kitchen includes a dishwasher and makes the living/dining room more spacious and the views from the front make the most of the countryside. Colour TV, DVD and video player and sound system. The log-burning stove adds to gas-fired central heating to make this a warm and welcoming place to stay. Double doors lead onto a private veranda, complete with gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. Steps down onto the grass lead to the lake beyond. No smokers, no pets, children minimum age 5.
Dedham Sleeps 4
Our smallest cottage for four in the Barn conversion, Dedham offers families a compact holiday cottage to enjoy everything on offer at Gladwins Farm. The open galleried double room is an interesting feature and the downstairs twin has a view over the grass to the top pond and woodland beyond. The ground floor kitchen/dining/living room with modern fittings and cottage-style furniture has a back door onto the shared veranda with use of the gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. Colour TV, DVD and video player, night storage heating throughout. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Kersey Sleeps 2 (+1)
One of two cottages for two people in the barn conversion Kersey has a double
bedroom on the open gallery, overlooking the kitchen/dining/living room on the
ground floor. The comfortable sofa can convert into a sofa-bed if you wish to
fit in an extra person. Colour TV, DVD and video player, night storage heating
throughout. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
The back door opens onto the shared veranda with use of the gas BBQ. Pets and
smokers welcome.
Melford Sleeps 2
Our 'romantic' cottage at one end of the medieval barn, a wealth of beams and
oak studs takes you back to the days of yore! Four-poster bed on the open
gallery gives you that 'royal' feeling. On the ground floor there's a generous
living/dining/kitchen space and comfortable sofa. Door out to your shady
West-facing private veranda with outdoor furniture. Enjoy your G&T recently
refurbished, redecorated and with its own private hot tub in the evenings as the
sun sets!
