Blakeley Barns is a family run business
in a charming rural location situated beside Foxfield Steam Railway in Dilhorne,
Staffordshire. The location makes it the perfect place for relaxing holidays in
the countryside as well as being ideally located for visits to 'The Potteries'
and Alton Towers and many other great tourist attractions as we are just five
minutes from the A50 and only twenty minutes from the M6.
All of the rooms in these tastefully furnished barn conversions are set on one
level and retain their traditional character with the comfort of full central
heating and other modern amenities. There is a fantastic pub within walking
distance, public footpaths nearby which are great for people who enjoy
experiencing life in the countryside. We also provide ample free parking for
guests staying in either of the barns. Blakeley Barns has recently been awarded
3 Stars by ‘Quality In Tourism' for their ‘VisitBritain Quality Assessment
Scheme'.
Hollybush Barn has retained many of its original features as a milking parlour including brick arch windows and beams. This barn has wheelchair access and sleeps up to 4 people. Strictly no smoking or pets allowed. Each barn has patio and garden furniture.
Kitchen
The kitchen has newly fitted oak units with electric cooker, double oven, grill,
ceramic hob and overhead extractor. It has the original brick arch windows and
tiled floor. There is also a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and cafetiere.
Ample crockery and cutlery are also supplied.
Lounge
The lounge consists of a double sofa bed which sleeps up to two people, a coffee
table and a pine dining table and chairs. There is a TV and video player with a
selection of videotapes. The double french doors have a view out to open
countryside and lead out onto the patio.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a new white traditional bathroom suite with bath/shower mixer
tap. This room also has the original tiled floor and ceiling beams.
Bedroom
The bedroom has a double bed, antique pine wardrobe, pine dressing table and
bedside cabinets. There are charming countryside views from the window.
Foxfield Barn has been recently renovated to a high standard and has received praise for furnishings. This barn was appropriately named for its views of ‘Foxfield Steam Railway'. This barn sleeps up to 6 people and has a strictly no smoking or pets policy. Each barn has patio and garden furniture.
Kitchen
The kitchen has bespoke pine units and tiled floor, electric cooker with grill,
double oven and ceramic hob and an overhead extractor. There is a microwave,
fridge, kettle, toaster and cafetiere. Ample crockery and cutlery are also
supplied.
Lounge
There is a double sofa bed which sleeps up to two people, an antique pine
dresser with storage drawers and cupboard, pine dining table with chairs, coffee
table, TV and video player with a variety of videotapes. The double french doors
lead to a patio with views of open countryside. The Foxfield Steam Train passes
by on its way to Dilhorne Park.
Bathroom
There is a new white traditional bathroom suite, tiled floor and a bathroom
cabinet with mirror and storage.
Bedroom
This room has an exposed original feature brick wall with overhead lighting,
double bed and two single beds, antique pine double wardrobe with mirror,
matching chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The window has views of open
countryside.
