Hurst Mill farm teems with birds, including kingfishers, owls, dippers,
sand martins and woodpeckers. And the river forms three inviting natural pools
for paddling and swimming. From their cottage, guests can cross the lawn to the
river and enjoy the unspoilt pleasure of nature all around them!
The cottages have been lovingly created from a large stone barn. Each one offers
imaginative and well appointed accommodation. On chilly nights, guests snuggle
down in front of their open log fire - real warmth and cosiness plus the
convenience of central heating when needed. Each cottage has wireless internet
facility.
All around there are superb hill walks to delight both the keen rambler and the
occasional ambler, many walks starting from the cottage door. Your host will be

There are country pubs within easy reach offering good food and a warm welcome.
Ludlow has Michelin starred restaurants. The large picturesque village of Clun
is one and half miles away with a Post Office, General Store, Newsagent,
butchers and other shops.

The South Shropshire Hills form one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the country. We mention some of the attractions, but there are many more. At night, there is the lowest level of light pollution in England and so the stars are stunningly vivid. There is very little evidence of commercialism - the nearest burger outlet is about ten miles away! But for those who like simple pleasures the area around Hurst Mill Farm is a delight.
