Church Stretton Cottages - We offer three beautiful, fully equipped self catering cottages, immaculately kept to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the beautiful South Shropshire Hills.

Eliza’s and Jasleigh cottages are ideally situated in Church Stretton with the slopes of the Long Mynd or the High Street only a few minutes away.

Caradoc Cottage is nestled between the Stretton Hills with Church Stretton only 2 ¾ miles away. Provides an excellent location for staying in breathtaking countryside with excellent walking and bird watching from the door.

Church Stretton is at the heart of the Long Mynd’s 5,000 acres of heather-covered Moorland owned by the National Trust and is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Long Mynd and Stretton Hills provide excellent walking, strolling and bird watching for everybody.

Church Stretton provides an ideal, central location for exploring the historic Shropshire market towns of Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock.

The area offers a wide range of attractions including National Trust & English Heritage properties and of course the Famous Ironbridge Gorge Museums and Severn Valley Railway. All within a 30 minute drive away.

Caradoc Cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty nestling between the Caer Caradoc and Lawley Hills, 2 ¾ miles from Church Stretton.

Caradoc Cottage adjoins the family home with ten acres of land, to provide glorious views over to the Long Mynd for you to use along with the orchard garden. Within a 100 yards we have the famous Comley quarry home to the oldest trilobite Fossil in Europe.

With the Stretton hills and a wide variety of birds Caradoc Cottage provides an excellent location for staying in lovely countryside with walking and bird watching from the cottage door. Buzzards are frequently seen circling over the fields.
Walk the 2 ¾ miles of panoramic views into Church Stretton along the side of the Caer Caradoc.

Caradoc Cottage offers first class facilities, tastefully furnished, immaculately kept to ensure comfortable, homely accommodation for your stay.

The cosy lounge has exposed beams, inglenook fire place with a wood burner for warm winter breaks, co lour TV & Video, CD player and is referred to as the snug.

The kitchen is fully fitted with pine units and equipped with electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

From the kitchen leads into the dining room with a lovely oak floor, circular pine table and chairs, comfortably seating four people.

The downstairs bathroom is fully fitted with shower facilities over the bath.

The first bedroom provides a full sized double bed with Edwardian bedroom furniture and hair dryer and looks out onto the orchard garden & open fields.

The second bedroom provides two full sized single beds with pine bedroom Furniture and looks out on to open fields.

Heating is by storage heaters.

The large garden provides a relaxing afternoon to enjoy the wide variety of birds, while reading the papers.

Ample parking is available. Very sorry no pets.

Friday change over day preferred, although a Saturday can be arranged.

Own natural spring water supply from Caer Caradoc.

Fresh bed linen, soft towels, tea towels, electricity, heating and log for the wood burner etc are all included for you.

OS maps and walking books are provided for you.

Table tennis table is provided for guest to use

Eliza's cottage is idyllically situated in a residential area of Church Stretton. Allowing you to be a few minutes walk from the High street or the slopes of the Long Mynd, through Rectory Field providing many attractive walks from your doorstep.

It dates back to 1885 when the rector of Church Stretton built the row of five cottages for his Coachman, cook, gardener etc and has recently been renovated to a high standard retaining many of the original features and character.

The mid –terraced, two bedroom cottage offers first class facilities, tastefully furnished to ensure comfortable, homely and immaculate accommodation for your stay.

The Large kitchen/ dining room is fully fitted with light oak county style kitchen with a electric fan oven, gas hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer and dishwasher. Iron and ironing board.

Table and chairs provide seating for four people.

From the kitchen leads the utility with automatic washing machine/drier, with separate downstairs toilet & wash basin.

The lounge has the original fire place with wood burner for a cosy winter evening, Colour TV & video, cottage style three piece suite and catches the morning sun.

The first bedroom provides a full sized double bed with Edwardian Bedroom furniture and looks out over Church Stretton to Helmeth Hill.

The second bedroom has two full sized single beds with pine bedroom furniture and looks out over the garden.

The upstairs bathroom is fully fitted with shower facilities over the bath.

Eliza's cottage has a small garden at the front and a larger garden at the rear with flower borders.

Full gas central heating is provided in all rooms.

 

Parking is available at the front of the cottage.

Fresh Bed linen, soft towels, tea towels, electricity and gas central heating etc are all included for you.

Jasleigh, is pleasantly situated in a quiet residential area of Church Stretton. It is only a short walking distance from the main shopping area, Post Office and the Stretton Hills.

The semi-detached two bedroom bungalow offers first class facilities, tastefully furnished and immaculately kept to ensure comfortable, homely accommodation.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board.

The lounge enjoys fine views of the Ragleth hill. Colour TV and video, electric fire, settee and recliner chairs.

The dining room/conservatory has table and chairs seating four people and catches the morning sun. It looks on the rear garden which attracts a variety of garden birds.

The main bedroom provides two single beds with Edwardian furniture.
The second smaller bedroom provides a full sized double bed with pine bedroom furniture with views of the Ragleth hill.

The bathroom is fully fitted with shower facilities over the bath.

Gas central heating provided in all rooms.

Table and chairs are provided in the garden at the rear where a quiet evening drink can be enjoyed.

Jasleigh’s drive provides parking for a minimum of two cars.

Church Stretton is at the heart of the Long Mynd’s 5,000 acres of Heather covered moorland owned by the National Trust, a designated area of Outstanding Natural beauty.

Visitors find themselves relaxed and refreshed by its unspoilt beauty which provides walking from a gentle stroll to strenuous hikes for the serious rambler.

It is a friendly shopping town with a good variety of traditional shops to browse around giving old fashioned personal service with a small street market on Thursdays. There are several antique shops / market that could occupy any afternoon.

A variety of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs & take-aways provide delicious food.

Local county pubs in the surrounding villages provide excellent bar snacks and evening meals.
