Two Hoots Cottage set in the delightful County of Rutland a beautifully furnished two bed roomed, newly converted stone barn.  The self-catering Cottage is in an ideal location to explore the riches of Rutland Water just a stroll away. 

A 10 minute drive brings you to the beautiful Georgian stone town of Stamford with shops, pubs and restaurants, the Elizabethan House of Burghley which is open to the public and where the Burghley Horse Trials are held every September.  You are a 10  minute drive from the  picturesque town of Oakham with lovely shops and restaurants with twice weekly markets.

The Cottage has luxury under floor heating throughout the ground floor,  an Aga multi fuel stove for added comfort in the winter,  all combined with those little extras that make this lovingly cared-for cottage a welcoming home from home, like fires laid, cushions plumped up and a full welcome hamper.

 

Two Hoots Cottage is in an ideal location to explore the riches of Rutland .  Rutland Waters Sykes Lane Tourist Information Centre and the North Shore are in walking distance of the Cottage either via the road or on the Hereward Way Walking trail which lies at the bottom of the Lane. There is much to do there cycling, climbing, bird watching, fishing, sailing, boat trips, windsurfing -  on a windy day it isn’t unusual to have over 50 windsurfers out there loving the conditions!   The White Horse Inn a two minute stroll from the cottage is the village pub typically English and offers good food at reasonable prices with a variety of well kept real ales, children are made welcome, in fact all over the county there are delightful pubs and village inns offering high quality food. The village store,  a short stroll from the cottage,  provides a wide range of  foods and fresh local produce and the usual daily newspapers.
