Mu's Cottage which is situated just outside the village of Evenjobb in the beautiful Radnor Valley on the Welsh Borders.
The property is in the grounds of the Old Vicarage and was originally the gardener’s cottage. In recent years, they have completely refurbished and extended, decorated and furnished it to a very high standard. Whilst still retaining many of the original Victorian features, fireplaces, sash windows, etc, guests also benefit from all the latest modern comforts and facilities.
The cottage is an ideal country retreat, far away from the hurly burly of everyday life. The picturesque location provides guests with an infinite number of things to do – walking, riding, sightseeing, golfing or simply unwinding and curling up with a good book.
Mu’s Cottage can accommodate up to five.
The large sitting/dining room faces onto pastureland leading up to woodland at Offa's Dyke. There is flat screen TV, DVD/Video and iPod dock, CD player and a good selection of DVD’s, videos, books and games.
The kitchen is brand new and fully-fitted with dishwasher, electric oven, washer/drier, fridge/freezer, microwave, etc.
In addition to the three bedrooms (one with double bed, one twin and one single) there is a bathroom and a shower room. The twin bedded bedroom and the shower room are situated on the ground floor, making them ideal for anyone with walking difficulties.
Heating, linen and towels are provided. Cot, high chair and stair gates are available.
Mu’s Cottage is situated centrally on the borders of Powys, Herefordshire and Shropshire - ideally placed for exploring the surrounding areas, which have much to offer.
Outdoor enthusiasts, can follow the famous Herefordshire Black and White village trail, walk Offa's Dyke, watch the red kites being fed at Rhayader, drive through the Elan Valley or explore the Brecon Beacons.
There are mainly market towns close by, for example Kington, Knighton and Presteigne with their own local butchers, greengrocers, bakers, cafes and pubs. Ludlow is less than half an hour away, offering renowned Michelin Star restaurants and antique shops.
There are plenty of local events for example Llandrindod Wells’ celebration of Victoriana, Hay-on-Wye’s famous annual literary festival, for music lovers there’s Brecon’s jazz festival, whilst the Royal Welsh Show Ground has events all year round.
The choices are limitless and you’ll find plenty of information on what you can do at the cottage or from the owners.
