Middle Gletwen Barn is a superb, newly converted and spacious property in the upper Wye Valley. It is located in a tranquil setting, and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The Barn is conveniently located for many activities including walking, fishing, canoeing, cycling and gliding.
The building dates from the late 19th century and has been converted to an extremely high standard with great attention to detail. The original exposed oak beams and stone walls ensure that the character of the building has not been lost, while the use of contemporary decor, facilities and furnishings ensure a comfortable stay in this beautiful part of the Wye Valley.
GROUND FLOOR.
Kitchen. Spacious, superbly designed and decorated. The kitchen features built-in units, a Rangemaster Elan electric cooker with double oven and ceramic hob, a large fridge, a freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Dining area. This spacious area has a large, circular dining table, chairs and double doors lead out to the patio.
Utility. The utility room is adjacent to the kitchen and can be used as a drying room. The room is equipped with a sink, washing machine and there is a downstairs WC.
Sitting Room. A large, comfortable room with leather sofas, a large and very efficient wood burning stove, TV (FreeView) with DVD. There are panoramic views across the valley to the opposite hillside.
Entrance Hall & Snug. The hallway has a generous and easy flight of stairs. Leading from here is a walk-through hallway or snug with a large comfortable sofa and a second flight of hand crafted stairs featuring an attractive wooden column.
Games Room. This is a large room with sofa, coffee table, chairs and a TV with play-station for children.
UPSTAIRS.
Bedroom One is a family room with a double bed and a single bed. An attractive feature of this room is a flight of exterior stone granary steps with a door leading down to the garden.
Bedroom Two has a fine king size bed.
Bedroom Three has three single beds.
Bathrooms. There is a large family bathroom between bedrooms one and two. This is fitted with a bath with shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. There is a shower room close to bedroom three with a large shower, hand basin and WC.
