Highgrove is the gorgeously crafted self-catering cottage vision of the Morgan family. They live in the neighbouring 19th century stone farmhouse, Grovegate.
Hywel Morgan, wife Natalie and daughter Emma have several centuries of West Wales heritage.
Hywel is a third generation family farmer at this well-established agricultural enterprise started by his grandfather Benjamin Watkins in the early 1900s. The family milked cows until recently and now focuses on rearing Fresian dairy cattle for sale to other farms.
When creating Highgrove in the midst of their 80 acre farm, the Morgans aimed to provide a luxurious sense of room, comfort and light. Lots of extras were included to make this a real home from home.
Surrounded by lush green pastures, this top quality house is the work of the most highly regarded local builders and craftsmen. Its layout makes the most of spectacular views over Narberth. Its landscaped grounds on the northwestern flank of Narberth Mountain are ideal for contemplating the views.
To the north are panoramic countryside views of the world-famous Preseli Hills over delightful communities such as Llawhaden and Bethesda. The expansive countryside is peppered with wonderfully historic settlements such as Blackpool Mill and Robeston Wathen.
There are idyllic valleys which house eager tributaries to the winding eastern branch of the River Cleddau. Directly to the south the land rises and rolls on to the seaside gem of Tenby.
To the west is the Cleddau’s dramatic labyrinthine estuary, to the east is farmland which surges beyond rural communities such as Princes Gate, Tavernspite and Red Roses.
A bridle way cuts through the farm’s grounds and
a path opposite this fine self catering accommodation leads into the vast and
historic Canaston Wood.
