The Stables at Ashtree Farm is a luxury 5 Star cottage located just outside the picturesque and unspoilt village of Buckland in Oxfordshire. Its central location is ideal for touring the Cotswolds, famous for its pretty villages, honey coloured stone houses and stunning landscapes. Historical cities such as Oxford, Bath and Warwick are within easy driving distance and London is less than an hour by train from Didcot Parkway or Oxford.
On arrival guests will find fresh flowers and fruit together with a tray prepared for afternoon tea. In summer, a complimentary chilled bottle of wine can be enjoyed outside on the private patio where guests can admire the colourful collection of prize dahlias and herbaceous plants in the walled garden.
Ashtree is a former 18th century farmhouse set in 10 acres of farmland with a two acre beautifully landscaped garden. The Stables Cottage shares the main house drive but is a completely independent retreat. It has been tastefully renovated using local Cotswold stone and retains all its character with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. Immaculately decorated throughout, it offers 5 star luxury accommodation with the flexibility and privacy which self-catering has to offer. The newly added Sauna and relaxation facility offers guests the chance to unwind in sheer indulgence after a busy day touring the local sights and attractions.
Accommodating from two to four guests, the rooms are furnished with a range of antique and modern furniture. The décor has been designed with rich textures and beautiful fabrics to make the rooms feel warm and inviting. The sprung mattresses are top quality and the beds are complimented with pristine white cotton sheets and feather duvets, ensuring a blissful night's sleep. You will find everything you need to make your stay relaxing and totally stress-free!
Situated in the Oxfordshire countryside the
cottage is surrounded by the sounds of wild birds; skylarks and swallows compete
for song in summer and sightings of wild deer, hares, rabbits and muntjacs are
regularly sighted by our guests.
Ashtree's own free range Maran chickens provide guests with superb quality dark
brown eggs and honey from our own Apiary is freely available in season. A stay
at The Stables will certainly re-charge your batteries!

The stylish open plan living and dining room has a
wood burning stove, ornamental rugs, a range of comfortable sofas and
armchairs. There is a choice of books and magazines and games for
guest's use. A television, DVD and music centre with CD's for guests'
enjoyment and a good selection of DVD's to watch. There is also a
selection of maps and tourist guides. French windows open onto the
private patio area in the beautiful walled garden. Garden furniture and
a gas BBQ are provided for guests' enjoyment. |

The extra large ground floor bedroom has a luxury

music centre with a selection of tranquil music to compliment the sauna
