Village Farm in the heart of the old village and Town Foot Farm on the northern edge of the village offer a superb choice of self-catering holiday cottage accommodation, ranging from modern Scandinavian-style chalets to traditional stone-built cottages and a 17th century farmhouse.
Our superb self-catering holiday cottages are supplemented by our extensive leisure facilities, including a spa with swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and steam room; fitness club; beauty salon; horse riding and tennis.
Village Farm, between Alnmouth, Alnwick and Warkworth on Northumberland's Heritage Coast, is centred around The Farmhouse, an attractive stone-built 17th century house. Now fully restored as a luxury self-catering holiday cottage, The Farmhouse can sleep up to twelve persons and is suitable for a family reunion or other large group.
Besides The Farmhouse, we have one other self-catering holiday cottage at Village Farm - Pantile Cottage - and four self-catering holiday chalets: Cedar Chalet, Coquet Lodge, Kielder Chalet and Pine Chalet. Our chalets are ideal for either a winter or summer holiday. In the winter, they are cosy and warm; in the summer they are bright and airy.
Our main leisure complex, comprising spa, swimming pool, gym, beauty salon, etc is located at Village Farm, but all of our guests are, of course, welcome to use all our leisure facilities whichever property they occupy. Our prices are inclusive of all of our leisure facilities except beauty treatments, hairdressing and horse riding.
A short drive or a ten-minute walk across the fields from Village Farm, brings you to Town Foot Farm, where we have three more self-catering holiday cottages: Townfoot Cottage, Melrose Cottage and Sally's Flat.
The facilities at Town Foot Farm include Town Foot Riding Stables, with both indoor and outdoor riding surfaces and off-road field tracks.
Viewfield, Murrayfield and Wool Cottage are located in the village of Shilbottle and are thus separate from both Village Farm and Town Foot Farm. However, none is more than a ten-minute walk from Village Farm.
Whichever of our self-catering holiday cottages you choose, our extensive leisure facilities are available for the duration of your holiday with us in Northumberland. The use of all these facilities are provided at no extra charge, except where indicated, and they are open for 365 days every year. You will be amazed at the range and quality of our all-inclusive leisure facilities!
Health Club
This is a professionally-staffed, fully-equipped gym with state-of-the-art
cardio vascular and resistance machines (minimum age 16 years). Upstairs,
there is a luxurious relaxation area where you can enjoy a well-earned rest,
read the newspapers and drink complimentary coffee or tea! Complimentary
Wi-Fi access is also available in this area.
Swimming Pool and Spa
Adjoining the gym, a converted stable block houses our main leisure
facility. The magnificent heated swimming pool measures 38 x 16 feet. The
double-glazed building is constantly heated and the pool surround is
carpeted and adorned with plants. There is a separate family changing room
with baby changing facilities and hair dryers and vanity areas are provided
in several places in the changing rooms.
We completed a magnificent new extension in late 2007 that houses new changing facilities and a stunning new spa bath, steam room and sauna (all only available to over 16s). A large relaxation area with heated loungers and luxurious leather furniture gives an opportunity to relax with tea or coffee and read the papers away from it all!
The facility is open between 6.15 am and 10.00 pm every day of the year. Children under 16 years can swim from 9.00 am until 8.00 pm. One-to-one swimming lessons can be arranged - telephone John at 01665 830234 or 07752 024630.
Foyer, Library and Laundry
At the entrance to the swimming pool building is a foyer with a public
telephone and information boards, as well as a laundry with washing machine
and tumble-dryer. Upstairs, there is a library with comfortable chairs; this
is reserved for adults only and those visiting the beauty rooms.
Horse Riding
There is an all weather manège at Town Foot Farm. The riding school provides
qualified instruction at competitive rates. There are indoor and outdoor
riding schools. Hacking is available for more experienced riders. Why not

Tennis
We have an all-weather court at Village Farm. It is best to bring your own
racquets; balls, though, can be purchased at the gym. We operate a booking
system, but usually you can just walk on and play all year round.
Games Room
We have a large heated purpose-built games rooms, superbly equipped with
table tennis, pool, table football, air hockey, piano, comfortable seating,
television, and even an outside area for boules.
Games Field
We have a large mown lawn area that is ideal for any age to run around on.
There are football posts, a cricket net, golf net, badminton net, croquet,
adventure play area and wendy house. The outdoor adventure play area has
some challenging monkey bars for older children. Younger children can play
'house' in the wendy house, while their parents watch from the grassed area
where there are benches to sit on.
Village Farm and Town Foot Farm Holiday Cottages are located midway between Alnwick, Alnmouth and Warkworth on Northumberland's Heritage Coast.
Close to the A1, Village Farm enjoys easy access from both Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders in the north and Newcastle in the south.
