Lindisfarne Bay Cottages offer three superb 4 Star self-catering holiday cottages set in an idyllic spot on the water's edge opposite Holy Island, between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Bamburgh in Northumberland.

Where the road ends and the sea begins, you'll find our three luxury holiday cottages nestled in a little piece of Northumbrian heaven, each with breathtaking sea views. The panoramic view across Lindisfarne Bay encompasses the famous Beal causeway to the north, the beautiful outline of Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle to the east, and the silhouette of Bamburgh Castle to the south. The cottages, all converted in 2010, have been generously and stylishly equipped to create the very best in quality self-catering holiday home accommodation, with all bedrooms having either an en-suite bath or shower room.

Our holiday cottages are well located for a self-catering cottage holiday in Northumberland. All the main attractions of Northumberland's Heritage Coast are close at hand, including Alnmouth, Bamburgh, Craster, Dunstanburgh and Seahouses; while, inland, the market towns of Alnwick and Wooler are also within easy reach. The beautiful wilds of Northumberland National Park are equally accessible to the west, as are Berwick-upon-Tweed and the Scottish Borders to the north, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne to the south.

Our luxury self-catering holiday cottages offer superb self-catering holiday cottage accommodation in an equally stunning location on the water's edge overlooking Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle.

Feel the stresses of home and work roll away as you soak up the utter calm and peacefulness offered by this very special setting for a self-catering cottage holiday in Northumberland.

The 18th century mill house, from which our holiday cottages have been created, is thought to be on the site of the original mill that served the monks on Lindisfarne for many centuries. Today, the exterior retains all the style and charm of the original building, whilst the interiors have benefited from the highest quality eco conversion and have been finished with superior quality furnishings and equipment.

The Mill House and The Stables both have beautiful conservatories with glorious sea views. Whilst the Byre and its south-east facing garden share these wonderful views, it also has a charming west facing courtyard garden.

Each holiday cottage has been individually styled with comfort and luxury in mind, with beautiful designer fabrics used throughout. The cottages are extremely well insulated so you'll stay warm and cosy whatever the season. The living rooms have a flat-screen TV and are furnished with deep, comfy sofas and armchairs. The kitchens are equipped with all the gadgetry and essentials serious cooks expect, including food processors, great knives and plenty of good crockery, cutlery and glasses, so you aren't constantly emptying the dishwasher. Many of the bedrooms enjoy beautiful sea views. The beds are blissfully comfortable and each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom (each with a shower and most with baths too). Twin beds can usually be converted to doubles where required. Top quality bed linens and deep, fluffy towels complete the picture. As well as a portable TV in each cottage, there is a flat-screen TV in each living room, plus, a DVD player, a small selection of DVDs, a radio, plenty of books, board games, cards, maps, walking guides, binoculars, free wireless Internet, and iPod docking stations so you won't be bored, even - dare we say it - on a rainy day! For sunny days, there are swimming towels and Harris Tweed picnic blankets. Lindisfarne Bay Cottages offer a wonderful setting for group bookings wishing to secure more than one property in the same location. Each cottage has its own good-sized, landscaped garden with mature trees and wonderful sea views. Each has a barbeque area, herb garden and ample car parking space.

Lindisfarne Bay Cottages are set immediately on the water's edge overlooking Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle. The bay is sheltered by Holy Island, so the tide laps gently at the foot of the garden.

In this stunning location, you will find unrivalled bird-watching opportunities, especially during the migratory season. Joggers will enjoy the quiet country lanes and keen cyclists will appreciate that access to the Coast and Castles Cycle Way is very near. At night, the lack of light pollution makes for perfect star gazing.

Positioned midway between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Bamburgh on Northumberland's Heritage Coast, our luxury self-catering holiday cottages are well located for a holiday exploring the ancient Kingdom of Northumbria.

We are just a short drive from the A1, linking Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders in the north with Newcastle-on-Tyne in the south. Easy access puts all of the attractions of Northumberland within reach for day-trips, including Alnmouth, Alnwick, Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Garden, Bamburgh Castle, Chillingham Castle, Cragside, Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle, Holy Island, Morpeth, Seahouses, Rothbury, Warkworth Castle and Wooler, as well as Edinburgh, Gateshead, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and even Durham.

Inland, away from the coast, visitors will enjoy the grandeur and wilderness of Northumberland National Park and explore Northumbria's Roman past at Housesteads Roman Fort, Vindolanda Roman Fort and Museum, and, of course, Hadrian's Wall.

Whatever your interests, Northumberland will surpass your expectations, and we have the accommodation to match!
