The Old Vicarage
We are situated on the borders of Northamptonshire, Rutland (Leicestershire) and
Lincolnshire, within a 5-12 mile radius of Corby, Uppingham, Oundle, Oakham,
Rutland Water and Stamford.
The Old Vicarage is a Grade II Listed building and is the original home of
Martha Hill (the renowned fashion and beauty entrepreneur). For many years it
was used as the busy headquarters of her successful business. Today we live
peacefully with our paintings and eclectic collections, our horses and dogs, and
our beautiful gardens and surrounding countryside.
Laxton is a small hamlet that is as quiet as it is pretty. It
was designed by the great eighteenth century landscape designer Humphrey Repton.
The village borders Wakerley Woods which is a great place for walking and
enjoying nature.
