Enjoy a peaceful, stress free stay in beautiful rolling countryside. Experience our clear skies at night and breathtaking sunsets - Ryehills really is a sanctuary - safe and calm. New and returning guests will be delighted to see the pretty water garden that has been landscaped in the paddock behind Cherry Tree, Bradwall and Eaton Cottages. This is already attracting wild life including a woodpecker, a barn owl, large colourful dragonflies and a variety of pond life.
We are fortunate to have many guests who are working at our two excellent theatres - the Royal and the Derngate in Northampton - you never know who you might see off the TV in our courtyard!! They, and our business guests and holiday travellers, appreciate our competitive prices and flexible arrival dates and times. Please note that if you wish to extend your stay by a few days, and the space is available, our prices are based on a pro rata system.
Our cottages are popular with guests wanting a quiet, pretty location and we have many visitors from Britain and overseas who take advantage of our position in the centre of England. It is easy to visit London, Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford, Warwick, the Cotswolds and the many tourist attractions of the Heart of England - Althorp, Castle Ashby, Holdenby House, Coton Manor Gardens, Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens and Rockingham Castle are all a short distance away. Enjoy the beauty of rural England and surround yourself with pretty stone and thatch villages, historic houses, churches and the glorious gardens of Northamptonshire.
A delightful single storey cottage with exposed ceilings, stone walls, multi-fuel stove and good views of open countryside. The comfortably furnished living room has French windows opening onto the courtyard. There is a well equipped kitchen, a pretty bedroom with twin beds (that zip and link into a super king-size), excellent storage space and a bathroom. Cherry Tree is suitable for people with limited mobility as the cottage is on one level and ideal for a business person or couple who are working on a temporary basis in the area.
An attractive double storey cottage with superb views across open countryside. The light and airy living room, which leads into the kitchen, has an open fire and French windows opening onto the courtyard. A wide spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with twin beds and the third with child size bunk beds. All the bedrooms have excellent storage space. The bathroom is on the ground floor. Bradwall Cottage is an excellent choice for guests with a young family.
This three bed roomed cottage, which is slightly larger than Bradwall, has the same high standard of comfort. The light and airy living room, which leads into the kitchen, has an open fire and French windows opening onto the courtyard Sleeping accommodation consists of one double bedded room, one twin bedded room and a bedroom with a single bed. All the bedrooms have excellent storage space. The kitchen in Eaton Cottage has been refurbished this summer and it now has a larger work surface and more storage units which will be appreciated by those on longer stays! The bathroom is on the ground floor.
The entrance to this unusual and attractive cottage is through an original arch in the old coach house. It has a delightful open plan living and kitchen area. The bathroom and a study/dressing room/bedroom are located on the ground floor. A spiral staircase leads to a pretty galleried bedroom with king size bed via a small sitting area where there is sufficient space for an additional single bed if required. This property is ideal for the business person or couple who are working on a temporary basis in the area.
The entrance to Coombe Cottage is also through an original arch in the old coach house. Inside is a spacious hall with under stairs storage which leads to the contemporary open plan living and kitchen area. An inner hall leads to an attractive bath/shower room. Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with a dressing room area which has excellent hanging and storage space. This property provides very comfortable accommodation for the business person or couple working in the area as well as an ideal base for those on vacation.
A comfortable, ground floor, single storey studio with a front entrance, from the cottage courtyard, through French windows. The living/ bedroom has a double bed, desk, dining table and chairs, easy chairs and a spacious range of built in wardrobes. There is also a spacious shower room and a kitchen with a breakfast bar, two ring hob, combination oven/microwave, fridge, and freezer. A washing machine and dryer are available in a separate laundry room. The kitchen back door leads to an enclosed garden area with patio furniture. Please note that the studio has been re-furbished recently and the high quality fixtures and fittings are similar to our 4 Star cottages. Suitable for people with limited mobility as the cottage only has two steps from the living room to the kitchen. This property is ideal for guests who are of a similar age to the owners (i.e. over 50s) and for those wishing to bring their small dog with them!
