Norfolk House
This delightful townhouse, rebuilt by the Victorians in 1883, retains many of its original features and is decorated and furnished to a superb standard, reflecting 19th Century style, with modern facilities. It comprises: Entrance into luxury kitchen and dining area with a terracotta tiled floor, fully fitted period style units and equipped with all appliances including a double oven, grill and ceramic hob with extractor, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, etc.

Door to rear lobby, garden and patio for sitting and eating out ~ dining furniture and gas barbecue in season. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, and ironing facilities.
The lounge features a stone fireplace and mantlepiece with a marble hearth, an original Victorian cast-iron radiator, period furniture, leather sofas, satellite TV and radio, video, DVD (free access to our library of over 300 feature films) and hi-fi; staircase to first floor landing.

A second lounge is available on request, which could be used as a study or just to escape from the rest of the family!

All three individually designed, and tastefully furnished bedrooms have fitted carpet and wardrobes, washbasin, heated towel rail, bedside cabinets with table lamps, chest of drawers, TV, video, cd player, radio, hairdryer and dimmable room lighting.

Bedroom Lord Nelson is sumptuous with its memorabilia and hugh 'Queen Anne' four-poster bed, tapestry drapes and a hipbath with seat and hand shower, hidden away in an alcove. Wow!

Bedroom Lady Jane features a Victorian double bed with brass finials and a tiled vanity unit. A child's cot is available for this room on request.

Bedroom Emma has a single bed and a walk-in shower cubicle.

The family bathroom has a circular corner bath with an integral seat and telephone taps; hand basin and W.C.

Gas-fired central heating in included in the cost.

Courtyard Cottage
Of traditional Norfolk construction in mellow brick and chalk lump, full of character, Courtyard Cottage was created by skilful conversion of a barn in the garden of Norfolk House, using salvaged building materials. Internally, the lovely features and furnishings create a seductive atmosphere of calm and comfort. The accommodation, which is all on one level, includes: Entrance hall with ceramic tiled floor, exposed beams and brickwork, leading to the kitchen/diner, again with tiled floor, feature brickwork and exposed ceiling joists; fully fitted hand-crafted pine units with all appliances, including split-level oven, grill and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and many thoughtful extras. There is a freezer in the utility room.

The cosy lounge has two settees, an armchair and a large brick fireplace for burning logs; satellite TV and radio, video, DVD (free access to our library of over 300 feature films), hi-fi; french windows to patio and garden.

The two ground floor bedrooms Rose Marie and Guinevere each have an en-suite bathroom and W.C, fitted carpet and wardrobes, bedside cabinets with table lamps, dressing table with mirror, chest of drawers, radio and hairdryer, and are individually decorated and furnished to an excellent standard.

The electric central heating is included in the rental cost.

The Long Hall
is situated in a separate building, across the courtyard garden, known as Allen's Court ~ a superb setting for a dinner party or a special occasion. This unusual room with its nostalgic theme seats up to twelve around an unique mahogany dining table which was specially designed and crafted for the Long Hall.

There is a cocktail bar area with a huge brick and flintstone fireplace for burning logs, a
hi-fi system and a digital piano.

Allen's Court has its own fully fitted kitchen with quality appliances including a double oven, gas hob with extractor, fridge, freezer, dishwasher.
Cutlery, crockery and glassware is provided to set a table for a meal for twelve people.

There is a cloakroom with washbasin and W.C.

Allen's Court also houses the fully equipped utility room with automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, steam iron and board, sink with hot and cold water (free of charge, shared).
