Weybourne Forest Lodges - A unique small development of self-catering timber lodges set in private woodland on the North Norfolk coast.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you need any further information, or have any problems using the site.

We are open all year round - short breaks available during off-peak periods.

Weybourne Forest Lodges is a unique development of self-catering timber lodges surrounded by lush pine forests. The lodges are set in a forest glade, well spaced apart and away from any roads. We are so well hidden even some local people are surprised when they come across us!

The first lodges were built in 1988 and the newest ones in 2002. There are 17 lodges in total and some of these have been sold to families for their own use. We, the owners of Weybourne Forest Lodges live on site and our family manage the business ourselves, so guests can be sure of personal attention should they need it. It is true to say that once people have found us, they usually return again and again, some several times a year and this, together with recommendations, is increasing all the time.

We have a small menagerie with rare breeds of Soay sheep, Red Squirrels and an English Spotted Pony as well as ducks, rabbits, miniature pigs and our lovely Arab mare, not to mention our Jack Russell dog and a cat who thinks he's a dog. It is not unusual to see us out walking in the forest with the dog, cat and pony, with the horse following on loose behind us. Sometimes the pigs go for walks too!

We do not have a Club House or any entertainments, just a very special peaceful place to chill out and escape from the crowds. Visitors can, if they wish, have the use of an excellent nearby leisure centre with a full size swimming pool, child's pool, sauna, spa bath and steam room, as well as a well-equipped gym.

We are 5 minutes drive from the coast at Weybourne (1 ½ miles as the crow flies). Just below us the North Norfolk Railway (Poppy line) runs between Holt and Sheringham. This famous steam railway is often used in films and television and is one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the British Isles. We have over 100 acres of our own forest and this leads into another 100 acres of National Trust forest, which adjoins Sheringham Park.

You can walk from Weybourne Forest Lodges into Sheringham without seeing another house, through the woods and along the cliffs. The forest is unspoilt and abundant with wildlife. It is our aim to protect and encourage wildlife and we have planted hedges and shrubs to attract birds and butterflies, other insects and animals.

Well-behaved dogs and responsible owners are very welcome here (maximum 2 dogs per lodge). The walks are simply wonderful and no dog has ever been disappointed!
