Cheney Hollow Cottages
GUEST COTTAGE is a pretty carrstone and brick one bedroom detached cottage built around 1850's. Upstairs the large bedroom has a super king size bed which can be separated to form twins. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath with power shower over, wash hand basin and w.c.. Downstairs is the kitchen with white units and black work top with a delightful dining alcove overlooking the front garden. Separate lounge with French doors opening onto a large sunny patio leading up to the rear gardens and summer house. Off road parking with space for two small cars is directly outside the front door in our gravelled private driveway directly outside the cottage, approximately 45 metres from the road. Changeover day is Saturday.
This cottage is perfect for couples, however there is a double sofa-bed in the lounge for extra guests. A Z-bed and cot are also available on request -- please let us know when booking.
Linen is provided for the beds (duvets) plus extra blankets, however please bring your own bedding for the cot, if required. Towels can be provided upon request.

GUEST COTTAGE GROUND FLOOR
Entrance to the cottage is via a large porch which provides coat and shoe storage space. This leads into a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge with icebox, microwave, automatic washing machine with tumble drier. Breakfast alcove with small table and chairs

The lounge has a comfortable 2 seater sofa-bed, easy chair, colour television with Freesat and DVD player, radio, occasional tables, dining table and chairs.
Staircase to first floor.
FIRST FLOOR
The landing contains the airing cupboard with immersion heater and a large wardrobe with shelf. The large bedroom has twin single beds which can be zipped together on request (please let us know when booking!). There are three windows from which to enjoy delightful views over the gardens.
Bathroom comprising :- bath with power shower over, wash hand basin, WC., electric razor point and electric panel radiator. Towels provided on request.
GARDEN COTTAGE is a lovely carrstone and brick one bedroom detached bungalow with a delightful Victorian style conservatory. The bedroom has a 5' king size bed and pine furniture. The bathroom has a 'P' shaped bath with power shower over, wash hand basin and w.c. The spacious kitchen and lounge are 'open plan' with French doors leading off the lounge into a lovely Victorian style conservatory with delightful views over our side and rear gardens. The kitchen has white units with black worktops and a breakfast bar to one side. The dining area is within the large bay window overlooking the garden. The patio with furniture and BBQ is off to one side. Allocated private car parking is approximately 35 metres from the road in our gravelled private driveway which is approximately 100m from the cottage private entrance gate on Cheney Hill. Changeover day is Friday.
This cottage is ideal for couples who want holidays throughout the year, however there is a two seater sofa-bed in the lounge for extra guests.

GARDEN COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION: ALL ON ONE LEVEL
The entrance to the cottage is reached via a private gravel path from Cheney Hill. There are two steps down from the pavement along the entrance path, and one shallow step up from the path to the cottage's front door.

Two sun room armchairs from which to enjoy delightful views over the gardens.
BATHROOM
Comprising :- Modern P-shaped bath with power shower over and glass screen door. Wash hand vanity basin, WC. and electric razor point. Towels provided on request.
BEDROOM
The bedroom has a 5 foot king size bed with pine furniture, and airing cupboard with immersion heater.

We do try to be on site when our guests arrive so that we can make sure you are happy with your holiday cottage before you unload the car! We may also be able to assist with luggage etc.
Cheney Hollow's location on the south side of the village makes it easy to locate from the A149, and is easy walking distance of all village amenities as well as both beaches and countryside.
Off street parking in our very large private driveway ensures privacy and convenience.
Although we, the owners, do live on site, you can be assured of your comfort and privacy, coming and going as you please, as well as relaxing in the (one acre) peaceful gardens of Cheney Hollow.
When you arrive you should be able to walk into your cottage and feel as if it is your own home.
Your cottage will be fully prepared for your arrival and spotlessly clean.
The bed will be made up ready for you. If you have advised us that you will need the sofa bed, the protector and bottom sheet will be fitted and then the sofa put back for daytime use. The remaining duvet(s) and pillows will be made up and folded upstairs in the bedroom, ready for use later. The duvets we use are usually Microfibre All Seasons by Dorma. They can be either summer weight (4.5 tog), Autumn or Spring weight (9 tog) or used together for Winter (13.5 tog). Please advise your preference at time of booking or on our booking form. We use pillow and duvet protectors to ensure your comfort as well as soft mattress toppers and protectors. Our mattresses are medium to firm. There is a king size bed in Garden Cottage and a super king size bed or can be made up as twin beds in Guest Cottage.
Hair dryer in the dressing table drawer of each cottage.
Towels can be provided if requested prior to arrival -- one set of white bath sheet, bath towel and face flannel per person per week. These are not suitable for pets or the beach.
