The Garden Annex is attached to our house and has been furnished and equipped to the highest standard, to make your stay as comfortable as possible with ample off road parking.
Situated in a quiet, country area, surrounded by farmland.
Yet only 6 miles from the market town of Monmouth, where you will find a good
choice of shops and an open air market on Friday and Saturday. On a clear day
you can see The Kymin monument 2 miles outside Monmouth on the Forest of Dean
road.
Dingestow village is 2 miles away and has a small shop/post
office.
Raglan village is also 2 miles away and has a supermarket, post office,
newsagents and clothes shop as well as an excellent fish and chip shop and
several pubs serving meals/bar meals. Raglan castle is well worth a visit.
The Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Offa’s Dyke are all within
easy reach.
Abergavenny is 10 miles away and there are a wider variety of shops than
Monmouth. The large outdoor market is on Tuesday with a smaller market on Friday
and Saturday. Further on are the Brecon Beacons and the Welsh Valleys.
Newport can be reached in 20 minutes, Hereford in 30 minutes
and Cardiff 40 minutes.
Using the motorway system, Birmingham International Airport can be reached in 90
minutes, Cardiff Rhoose Airport and Bristol Airport in 75 minutes and Heathrow
in 120 minutes.
There are excellent golf clubs in the immediate vicinity and fishing is available on the many rivers. The area is excellent for walkers, with footpaths well signposted. The leisure centre in Monmouth has a swimming pool and other leisure facilities.
Disability access. The parking area is Cotswold chippings. There is a small step onto the paving slab path and then a small step onto the timber patio area. From here it is another small step into the living room, via the patio door. Although this door is wheelchair accessible, the other doors are of standard width. Grab handles are fitted in the bathroom.
The living room is large, spacious and light, with patio doors at both ends and a large window looking across farmland. There is a log effect gas fire, colour television video and HiFi unit.
One patio window looks onto the private garden area, with picnic table and the other looks onto part of our garden, where we have a large greenhouse and poly tunnel. The annex has the benefit of central heating throughout. All crockery, cutlery, table mats etc are included.
The kitchen is situated off the living room. It has a large patio door looking onto part of our garden and is fitted with vertical blind.
The electric cooker has four rings, a large oven and separate grill. An extractor fan is fitted above. The refrigerator has an ice making/freezer compartment. There is also a dishwasher, a microwave oven, electric toaster, filter coffee machine and electric kettle.
Tea towels, towels, all crockery and cutlery, as well as pots
and pans are included.
Use of washing machine and tumble drier are by arrangement. Tea, coffee, sugar,
milk and biscuits are provided for your arrival.
The double bedroom is situated off the main living room and has a pleasant outlook onto the private garden area. It has a pine double wardrobe and matching dressing table and chest of drawers, fitted with touch control lamps. There is also a full length pine mirror. Duvets, and all bed linen are included.
The bathroom is tiled throughout and fitted with a continental bath, with thermostatic shower fitting. The over sink light has an integral shaver socket. All towels and flannels are included. All towels and flannels are included.
