Tetford is a pretty village set in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty, a part of the country with rolling hills, cornfields and woods.

Tennyson was born in the next village and many of his poems feature the district. The small market town of Horncastle is 6 miles away, Louth 8 miles, the Cathedral City of Lincoln 23 miles and the coast at Skegness 20 miles.

There are many lovely walks locally and it is the perfect place for an ‘away from it all’ holiday, yet still within easy reach of the many attractions that Lincolnshire has to offer.

All three of our Country Cottages are self-catering, and the properties stand in their own gardens on our small estate of around 60 acres, and have superb views over the pastures and parkland grazed by our pedigree Longhorn Cattle and rare breed sheep.

They provide a first class accommodation base for a relaxing holiday. Fishing and pony trekking are available nearby, and there are golf courses and swimming pools less than 10 miles away.

The Garth
Single storey conversion of farm buildings has created an outstandingly spacious and comfortable property which stands in an extensive garden.

The furniture and furnishings have a distinctive and very tasteful Scandinavian flavour which blends well with the conversion. There is an open plan sitting room and dining room, dining kitchen, bathroom with separate shower cubicle, toilet and basin, separate toilet with wash basin, 3 bedrooms, 1 double with four poster bed, 1 single with wash basin and shower cubicle and 1 twin bedded room.

Services: Ducted hot-air gas central heating, log fire in sitting room, cot, high chair, colour television, video, music centre, gas and electric hobs, electric oven, washer/dryer, deep freeze, microwave, dishwasher, full service telephone, smoke alarms. Garden furniture & Gas barbecue. Undercover parking for 2 cars. Bed linen and towels, power and logs are included in the rent. Central heating supplement October to March £40.00 per week, payable on arrival.

Cornerways
The cottage, built in the mid 19th Century, is tastefully furnished and stands by itself in a large lawned garden and orchard.

There is a sitting room, dining room, kitchen, utility room, bathroom with toilet and basin.

An additional separate downstairs toilet and wash basin. 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin.

Services: Oil fired central heating. Log fire in sitting room. Cot, high chair, washing machine, tumble drier, deep freeze, microwave, full service telephone, smoke alarms, colour television and Radio / CD Player. Garden Furniture and Gas barbecue. There is ample parking in the grounds for 2 cars. Bed linen and towels, all fuel and power are included in the rent.

Mansion
Our latest addition, opened in August 2002. This cottage, originally a thatched timber framed dwelling from the late 17th or early 18th century, stands by itself in a large garden which has superb views. Inside much of the original oak frame and beams remain exposed and as in keeping with a cottage of this age, there are low ceiling and doorways. Its is an ideal base from which to visit all the attractions this area has to offer.

On the ground floor there is a cosy sitting room with log burning stove, a dining room, kitchen, bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin and a utility room. On the first floor, which is approached by steep stairs, there are two bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin - both have south facing dormer windows which look out towards Tetford church over parkland grazed by our pedigree Longhorn cattle.

Services: Oil fired central heating, wood burning stove in sitting room, cot, high chair, satellite television, video, stereo/CD, Electric hob and oven, microwave, dish washer, deep freeze, washing machine, tumble drier, full service telephone, smoke alarms.
