A warm welcome awaits in our four star self-catering accommodation which is within easy reach of the famous market town of Melton Mowbray, the University town of Loughborough and multi-cultural Leicester. Our three self-catering cottages provide visitors with luxury, comfort and a peaceful location.
Old traditional courtyard buildings have been converted into three luxury self-catering Cottages. They are an ideal base for holidays, short breaks, business accommodation, visits to relations and friends or for weddings, parties and festivals. Perhaps you need to move out whilst renovations are made to your home or a new house is not quite ready to move in to. We have a super location here at Walton Thorns Farm and our cottages are a great place to stay to enjoy the countryside and yet be close to many places of interest. All bedrooms are spacious with contemporary bathrooms. The bathrooms are en-suite in Shire Cottage and The Old Hay Barn. Living areas are open plan. We have retained the original charm of the buildings with the vaulted ceilings and old oak beams in The Old Hay Barn and large picture windows in Shire Cottage and Dairy Cottage. Each cottage has its own private patio area with views over the open countryside.
Our four star luxury self-catered cottages converted from farm barns have been designed to provide a relaxing environment for all our guests. Both cottages have picture windows looking out onto woodland and rolling fields and their own private patio with garden furniture to sit and watch wildlife on your doorstep.
The Old Hay Barn has magnificent views from the large picture windows and can accommodate up to 2 people. If has a vaulted ceiling with magnificent oak beams, traditional décor and is full of character with local stone slab window sills complementing the original arched brickwork. The open plan living space with kitchen diner opens out onto the patio through the glazed arched door, ideal for breakfast with a view on a summer's morning.
The spacious bedroom with a luxurious king size bed has a contemporary en-suite shower room. The bedroom has views over the fields and a feature stone window sill which was part of the original flag stone floor of the barn.Shire Cottage provides accommodation for up to 4 people. The entrance hall leads to the spacious living/dining/kitchen area spanning the length of the cottage with full height windows. The view from the window provides an excellent backdrop for dining or watching TV.
The open plan layout gives a real feeling of space in this cottage. Comfortable seating and a large dining table allow you to relax over your meals or have a coffee in peace and quiet. The patio area is accessed from the living area by the glazed door and is in a private sheltered spot. The living room, hall and bathrooms all have tiled floors with rugs. The twin bedroom is spacious with a large en-suite shower room and has contemporary décor. The double bedroom has a luxurious king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. This room has a beautiful view across the fields which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your bed.
All the en-suites have heated towel rails and are very spacious. The bedroom furniture is all in solid wood in a contemporary cottage style. The bedrooms all have deep comfy carpets.
