Ideal as a touring base, Liverpool, Manchester, Southport and Preston with all their interests and attractions are easily reached on the motorway and rail networks which are just minutes from the Farm.
Each apartment has a living room with kitchen area and a bedroom with shower room/wc. New furniture and equipment has been used throughout.
The high standard of equipment in the apartments includes a dishwasher, cooker and TV/DVD in each unit. All have a washing machine and broadband Internet access.
Here is the sensible and easy going alternative to a hotel. The units are set out for 2 people but more can easily be accommodated by arrangement.

We have tried to provide all the facilities you have at home in an affordable package. Although the apartments are self catering there is a starter breakfast consisting of bread, cereals milk, fruit juice and tea and coffee. Mawdsley Farm is an arable farm with a great views across our fields to the sunset.

Stable One 1 Double Bed
Stable Two 1 Double Bed and 1 sofa bed (a further single is available)

The village of Westhead is just one mile from Ormskirk. The village has 2 pub/restaurants an easy stroll from the apartments.
Just over the hill, (1/2 mile) on the eastern edge of Ormskirk are the Hospital, Ormskirk School and a group of shops including Chinese/English takeaway, laundrette offering service washes, traditional butcher/grocer, and “all hours” convenience store/off licence.
Ormskirk is a small market town with a range of shopping and a public sports
complex including a swimming pool. The market draws visitors from a wide area
and is held on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Skelmersdale (3 miles east) was developed as a new town and has a selection of
larger shops in the town centre. It is the main focus of industry and expansion
in the immediate area.
The central location of Westhead allows you to be in a small village /town environment while being close to the cities of North West England all connected by motorway.
Within easy reach of Mawdsley Farm the North West of England has a rich tradition of sporting and other attractions:
Premiership Football at Liverpool, Manchester, Wigan, Blackburn and Bolton.
Horse racing at Aintree, Haydock, Chester
Golf at Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham St Annes, and numerous other courses- let us know if you would like a round arranged at a nearby course.
Nearby Southport has an annual programme of events including a Flower Show and Air Display which are well attended.
