Great Prawls Farm is an exceptionally pretty sheep farm  in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the old sea cliffs of the 'Isle of Oxney'.
Extensive views and  an air of peace and tranquillity.
We  work in partnership with Kent Wildlife Trust & Natural England to improve our environment.

We are situated; between the medieval towns of Rye &  Tenterden, 'Jewel of the Weald.'
Both have antique shops, art galleries, museums,  restaurants and country pubs.
The nearest pub with restaurant is 3/4 mile.
15 minutes from the sandy beaches of Camber or  indoor leisure pools for children.
Nearby are; RSPB bird sanctuaries,
Smugglers caves at Hastings,
A Steam train  through Tenterden
Miniature coastal railway New Romney to Dungeness, Port Lymnpe Zoo and Chapel Down Vineyard.
Golf, fishing and riding are available nearby.

Because we are on the border of Kent and Sussex there is access to  National Trust properties etc in either direction.
5 minutes drive Ellen Terry's 'Smallhythe Place'.           10 minutes drive 'Lamb House' in Rye
20 minutes Sissinghurst Gardens, Great Dixter gardens and moated Bodiam Castle.
40 minutes, are Scotney Castle, Chartwell, Batemans, Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover castle and Battle Abbey.
From Ashford Rail station you can sightsee in London in 38 minutes
or bring your passport to take the Channel Tunnel to Paris and the day ferry to Calais.

We are proud of our cottages and take a personal interest in their supervision. There are many little extras included which that we hope will make your holiday good value and that much more comfortable. Both are single storey cottages and thus suitable for anyone a little disabled. We normally let from Friday to Friday but out of season short break holidays are also available and these can be very flexible.

Tamworth Cottage is a superior conversion of a former farm building, actually a pigsty, but don't let that deter you!

Detached, in typical Kent brick and tile this cottage faces SW and has splendid views across the River Rother valley. There are distant glimpses of the sea from the farm.
The cottage is warm and comfortable, double glazed and centrally heated. All fuel is included.

There is a garden for sitting out with patio furniture to watch the sheep grazing or enjoy the spectacular sunset. Parking for two cars is adjacent.

The cottage is fully furnished and carpeted. It has two bedrooms, sleeping four, as a double and two singles. Travel Cot and high chair are available. The large lounge with colour T.V  & DVD player has a dining area  open to the exposed  oak rafters. It has extensive all round views.

The kitchen is partially integrated into the lounge, which facilitates serving and it has a gas cooker with extractor hood, refrigerator, automatic washing/drying machine, microwave, ironing facilities and modern equipment.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, W.C. and hand basin with shaver point.
We cannot unfortunately accommodate pets in this cottage.

Meadow Cottage is a lovely, comfortable bungalow.  Spacious and detached it enjoys panoramic views of the Rother Valley and Firehills with a garden and grass meadow to the rear.

Meadow Cottage is fully furnished and carpeted and has two large bedrooms sleeping five, plus cot and highchair.

One bedroom accommodates a double bed and hand basin with shaver point and the other room has three single beds. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower, washbasin and shaver point. The w.c. is separate.

The very large living room has a dining corner and plentiful comfortable seating with colour T.V. and DVD player. There is a huge picture window with lovely views for 15miles.

The kitchen is modern, well equipped & includes a
gas cooker. The utility room has an automatic wash machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.

The bungalow has oiled fired central heating. All fuel is included. Double glazing  makes it ideal in winter & the low season, particularly at Lambing time. There is garden furniture for sitting out. Car parking for two cars is adjacent. A dog can be accommodated at no extra charge, but only with permission and must be on a lead about the farm.
