Fishermen's Cottages - Come and stay in one of four unique 17th & 18th century cottages in the heart of Broadstairs, all are 3 and 4 star award self-catering accommodations. If you are looking for larger accommodation we have a 4 bedroom detached house with sea views.
You will find Cottages 2 and 2a in a quiet courtyard in the old part of town, while Cottage 1 can be found in the road adjacent. All can comfortably sleep 4. A lovely atmosphere has been created in the cottages, all having been completely refurbished and tastefully decorated in traditional design, in keeping with the style of each building.
As you enter each cottage you get the feeling of stepping back in time, where men made their living from fishing, boat building and smuggling! Barnaby's Lodge was just one of the cottages used by the smugglers.
If you have a larger family or wish to have 2 family's staying together you
can rent our newly refurbished house that has been updated to a contemporary
style with a large decking area for that alfresco dinning with barbeque area and
sea views.
This property is situated in Dumpton which is on the outskirts of Broadstairs
and Ramsgate and is only 5 minutes walk to the beach and within easy walking
distance to Broadstairs shops and main beach (Viking Bay).
If you do not wish to use the car there is a bus stop with in a stones throw
away which will take you into town or around the Isle.
If you prefer to walk or cycle, there are some of the best cliff top walks you
will see that should not be missed and is famous for its spectacular sunsets,
golden beaches and panoramic views you will find in Great Britain.
If you fancy a game of Golf on our famous golf courses, or a day out boat
fishing, or even a trip to France for the day it is all here on your door step.
You will be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome whenever you come to Broadstairs. With so much charm and history in this picturesque town, how could you resist? The summer season offers great attractions that have captivated generations of visitors, year after year, from all over the world.
A full events diary means there is always something to do and a lot of it is free! Join in a ceilidh during Broadstairs Folk Week, marvel at the speed of the powerboats at Ramsgate’s annual Grand Prix or relax in Margate’s piazza whilst listening to top quality jazz bands. Even out of the main summer season there are exciting events like the Big Sky Festival of Motor Sports – a great excuse for a weekend away.
In addition to this there are art galleries to explore, New for April 2011 the Turner contemporary Gallery in Margate, theatres where you can see wonderfully entertaining productions and up-to-the-minute cinemas showing the latest releases in the new Westwood Shopping Centre with so much choice in films and shopping – so much choice
