Sunset Place is a delightful, detached New Forest self-catering holiday cottage for two people in the grounds of Cottage Crest.

Our self catering Cottage is partly built on a hill and has two entrances; the first is to the kitchen on the lower floor and is level with the car parking area at the rear of the cottage.

The other entrance to the New Forrest Cottage, is up a small flight of steps that takes you into a beautiful open plan lounge and bedroom area.

The bedroom in the cottage is a large, open plan double room featuring a modern en-suite shower room.

The lounge has a very comfortable settee, tea and coffee making facilities and colour television. The lounge in this self catering accommodation offers stunning views from the window, right across the valley.

A spiral stairway leads down to the open-plan dining room and kitchen. The dining area has a lovely table and chairs seating up to four, with radio/cd player.

The kitchen, as you would expect in a self catering holiday cottage, is fully equipped with full size oven, fridge with ice box, washing machine and microwave. All kitchen utensils, china, tea towels, bed-linen, towels and heating are included in the tariff.

A welcome tray will be available on arrival with a pint of milk.

Additional sleeping option:
As Sunset Place sleeps two people only, we are very willing to put up your friends or family in our Bed and Breakfast home as Bed only guests, so that they can join you each morning for breakfast and just return to our home for sleeping.

The ideal choice for your New Forest holiday accommodation. Our cottage is situated in the hamlet of Woodgreen, near Fordingbridge in Hampshire, on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Our Fordingbridge guest house is located in a lovely setting, with breathtaking views across the Avon Valley.

We have a New Forest self catering cottage, Sunset Place, set in the grounds of Cottage Crest. The self catering holiday cottage is suitable for two and is ideal for those who enjoy peaceful relaxation.

The Cottage Crest New Forest B and B is the home of the Cadman family, which is reflected in the antique furniture and pictures which are dotted around the house. Our Fordingbridge bed and breakfast is situated high in its own 5 acres of grounds, with magnificent views across the River Avon valley below, making it a wonderful choice for those looking for a relaxing holiday in the New Forest National Park.

New Forest Accommodation

Self Catering Cottage

Sunset Place is a lovely holiday cottage for two people in the grounds of Cottage Crest, which features a large double bedroom with an en suite shower room, a kitchen and an open plan lounge. The self catering holiday cottage also has its own car parking area.

Sunset Place is located in the village of Woodgreen, Near Fordingbridge, which has its own special charm being situated overlooking the River Avon to the West, whilst the New Forest stretches away to the East.

For centuries Woodgreen has been isolated by its position between river and forest and it still has that atmosphere of a self-supported hamlet, tucked away from the rush of modern life.

There is a local pub, shop/post office and of course a cricket pitch!

Many of the cottages in Woodgreen and the surrounding area are still thatched, with thick holly hedges planted many years ago to stop the wild ponies, pigs and deer damaging their gardens and which are still serving just as effectively today as they did many centuries ago.

The New Forest National Park

The New Forest National Park is ideal for visitors wishing to relax in its peaceful leafy glades, discover its ancient history or explore further afield.

The Park lies half way along the South Coast between Southampton and Bournemouth, to the North is the ancient city of Salisbury with its magnificent Cathedral and Stonehenge a few miles further.

To the East lies Winchester, the city of King Alfred and William the Conqueror with many picturesque villages and hamlets to pass through on the way.

Directions:

FROM SALISBURY:

Take the A338 Road from Salisbury to Bournemouth.

After Downton and before Fordingbridge lies the village of Breamore, turn left as you leave the village towards Woodgreen.

Over the bridges and cattle grid into Woodgreen village and turn right at post office towards Godshill.

Sunset Place is the last house on the right after about half a mile.

FROM CADNAM (Junc.1 M27):

Take the B3079 north.

After 1 mile pass the Green Dragon Inn in Brook on your left, then take the left fork signed B3078

Follow signs for Godshill and Fordingbridge for the next few miles across the commons.

Immediately after passing the large Fighting Cocks pub on the right, take the next lane right towards Woodgreen and Breamore

Follow this lane for about 1.5 miles.

After a long straight stretch through some woodland, Sunset Place is the first house on the left.
