Each of our Cottages have names taken from the story of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. “Alice” herself is buried here at Lyndhurst Parish Church.
All are within 400 metres of the main Hotel, and are ideally positioned for Lyndhurst village centre with its shops, restaurants, pubs, banks, etc.

Alice Cottage - 2 Bedrooms
Situated just behind the Penny Farthing Hotel this is a modern two-bedroom New Forest self-catering cottage, with a safe enclosed courtyard to the rear, ideal for families with small children.
The main bedroom with a double bed, the second as a twin sharing a bathroom complete with bath and electric shower.
Downstairs is an L shaped lounge/dining room, remote control television and stereo (with CD). There is a modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, washing machine, etc.. Also a separate downstairs cloakroom and toilet. A small enclosed patio/courtyard area leads off the lounge/diner, to the rear of the property.
Duchess Place - 3 Bedrooms
Duchess Place is a spacious three bedroom first floor New Forest self catering apartment. 150 metres from the Penny Farthing hotel across the road in a quiet close towards the Lyndhurst high street, supermarket and Lyndhurst restaurants.
This offers a large main bedroom, twin bedroom and third bedroom with bunk beds (pine three-foot wide standard length single beds), bathroom, kitchen (dishwasher, and washing machine), lounge/dining room (television, stereo etc) with delightful bay window view across Lyndhurst village.

A modern and spacious 3 bedroom ground floor New Forest apartment, Mad Hatter 1 is the ideal self-catering accommodation in Lyndhurst, New Forest, for families or friends sharing. Created within the main Penny Farthing Hotel building, the apartment runs from front to car park and garden at the rear.
The accommodation is entered at the rear of the property via a small lobby area leading to a family bathroom with bath and shower. To the left of the entrance lobby is a modern and fully equipped kitchen diner, and towards the rear, a twin and a good size double bedroom. Mad Hatter 2 - 3 Bedrooms
Situated within the Penny Farthing Hotel main building, this is a three bedroom ground floor New Forest apartment that runs from front to the garden at the rear. Three further en-suite rooms are available above via a separate entrance and separate pricing.

Carroll House - 4 Bedrooms
Carroll House which is conveniently situated just off Lyndhurst High Street in the New Forest National Park, is a very smart modern four bedroom detached house.
Upstairs are Double, Twin and single bedrooms and a bathroom (Bath with Shower), downstairs is a Double Bedroom with shower room and WC alongside.
The ground floor also has a spacious sitting room, kitchen and utility room. There is also a delightful private garden and patio to relax in.
Tarts Court 1 - 1 Bedrooms
Situated next to the main Penny Farthing Hotel, Tarts Court is our latest addition. Having recently undergone extensive renovation, now furnished and equipped to the highest standard, this detached New Forest holiday property offers flexible, comfortable accommodation, split into two separate units by means of double connecting doors, can also be offered as one complete unit.
There is parking and garden to the rear of the property.
A one bedroom ground floor New Forest flat set to the rear of the building. The Lyndhurst accommodation comprises, to the rear a fully equipped, light and spacious, dual aspect kitchen dinner, complete with a range of new appliances including fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. A modern bathroom with bath and shower, and a good size double bedroom with TV.
Tarts Court 3 - 3 Bedrooms
A three double bedroom spacious New Forest accommodation. On the ground floor to the front is a sitting room complete with 32” flat screen TV. There is also a small kitchenette area with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, perfect for light catering requirements. (Ground floor, double connecting doors provide access to Tarts Court 1 if required).
All bedrooms are first floor and comprise of a large front double , a middle double , and a further double to the rear, all have TV. Newly fitted light and airy bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle with electric shower.
Lyndhurst is in the centre of the New Forest, a small rural village developed in the 19th century. The High Street today has a charming selection of shops offering gifts, antiques, butchers, bakers, and "Budgens Super Market".
There is Lloyds, and Nat West banks and a post office. There are many different places to eat ranging from traditional Pubs and Cafes to Bistros, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, and a la carte restaurants all a few moments walk from the Hotel or Cottages.
Originally named by William the Conqueror nine centuries ago as his "NEW" hunting forest for the royal deer this precious area of English countryside still has over 200 square miles of ancient woodlands and wilderness heaths remaining largely intact.
More than 5000 ponies and cattle roam freely across this open are cared for by the "AGISTERS" who are responsible for the welfare of all commonable animals.
With cattle, pigs and donkeys alongside deer, foxes, badgers and British birdlife, wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers will be richly rewarded, particularly at dawn and dusk.
