Walk Farm Cottages

An attractive Elizabethan farmhouse comfortably divided into 4 separate cottages of varying sizes. Each has it's own entrance, lawn & parking. Combinations of these cottages, or all, may be booked together & the 2 largest can be opened through on the ground floor when booked to the same party. A small barn behind has an undercover BBQ, Table Tennis & informal party/playroom

Walk Farmhouse: sleeps 11
A rambling, spacious house for family & friends.

Ground floor: Large sitting room with open fireplace, colour TV/video/DVD & telephone. A spacious kitchen-dining room, with large round table seats 12+, & an extra table for larger parties, D/W, M/W, F/F, electric range cooker, hostess trolley etc.  Separate laundry room with W/M & T/D & a 3^rd bathroom - on the Saniflow system. (All bathrooms have elec. showers over baths)
1^st floor: 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom & wooden cot, 1 very large bedroom with 3 single beds, 1 single bedroom, a large ‘family’ bathroom and walk-in airing cupboard.
2^nd floor: Steep stairs lead to 2 ‘attic’ bedrooms with exposed beams. 1 double & a long triple bedroom with 3 single beds

Children welcome. Good-sized lawn & parking for 4 - 5 cars.
Well-behaved *Pet(s) extra* each @ £15 p.w  or £7.50 wk/d - s/b

NB: Walk Farmhouse & Walk House can be opened through together on the ground floor for larger parties of 18 - 19 
All 4 cottages & the small Barn Party room can be booked together for groups of 24 -  up to max 28

Walk House: sleeps 7 (+ a single sofa bed = 8)   
An attractive, medium-sized house for family & friends, & short-term business lettings. 

Ground floor: Comfortable large sitting room, with colour TV/video  & DVD & telephone. An attractive kitchen-dining room, fully equipped with D/W, M/W, F/F, electric cooker, larder & laundry facilities with W/D.
1^st floor: 2 double bedrooms & a single bedroom with single sofa bed, 2 bathrooms with electric showers over the bath.
2nd floor: A light attic room with low beams & twin beds

An open-fenced lawn with built-in BBQ. Parking for 2 - 3 cars. Children welcome (& pet/s as above*)

Walk Close: sleeps 3
(+ occasional use only sofa bed)  
Level access - this cottage was designed to be suitable for accompanied disabled &/or elderly visitors, but has charm for all.. A light &  cosy sitting room with French doors leads to a small terraced & green area. Colour TV/video & DVD. Wide hallway, with telephone.  Long kitchen/dining room, fully equipped with D/W, M/W, F/F, W/D, electric cooker etc.
1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom (+ sofa bed in the sitting room for occasional use)
Large bathroom with 2 doors,  wheel-in shower & wall seat (no bath), low basin, high loo, and instant hot water. Double glazing throughout gives extra warmth in the winter.
Parking for 1 or 2 vehicles. Pet/s (as above*)

Walk Farm Cottage: sleeps 3 (+ d/Futon)
A charming ‘upside-down’ cottage with attractive views over the Stroudwater Canal.
Ground floor: 1 double & 1 single bedroom, small bathroom with electric shower over bath & wall hand-grip.
1^st floor: Light, L-shaped sitting/dining room (+ 4` Futon sofa bed to sleep an extra 1 or 2), colour TV/DVD/Video, Telephone & F/F.
A separate kitchenette with electric cooker, M/W, D/W, W/M, etc.
Outside:  Patio area, chairs & table, lawn & parking.               Well behaved pet(s) welcome (extra as above*)


N.B.  All Cottages - Economy 7 night storage heating  and some additional heating appliances are provided.  Walk Farmhouse has an open log fireplace also.  Electricity & Telephone usage charged by meter readings - no coins required.

Good local walks, & short drives to a variety of activities & places of interest. Coarse Fishing is available free on the estate.
Nearest Pub/Restaurant under a mile walking - torches provided.

Behind this group of cottages is a small barn with Table Tennis & undercover double bay BBQ, the room is set out informally as a play/party area with lighting, electric heaters, extra china, glass, cutlery, tables & chairs, + power points for your own music, etc. & you may add decorations, within reason, as you wish.    And a good wood burning stove in the corner.
