This lovingly converted Grade II listed 17th Century coach house is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the magnificent Cotswold countryside overlooking the picturesque Horsley valley.
Although in a quiet location with its secluded south facing garden, The Coach House is only six minutes walk from the historic former mill town of Nailsworth with its plentiful restaurants, pubs and individual shops in narrow winding streets.

Downstairs is a large open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with a beamed
ceiling.

Two comfortable sofas are in the sitting area - one of which is a sofa bed.

Upstairs in the large restful bedroom is a supremely comfortable 6-foot bed, which can be divided to make two 3-foot singles. Next to the bedroom is an en-suite luxury bathroom with bath, powerful overhead shower, washbasin and WC.
French doors lead from the bedroom to a secluded south facing sunny garden with its terraced area for relaxing and barbeques, an area of lawn and, at the far end, parking for two cars.
Walking - Numerous footpaths lead from The Coach House and whole day trips can be planned walking through wonderful scenery. The famous Cotswold Way can be joined at Uley, 3-4 miles away.
Cycling There are very good cycle tracks around both for the enthusiast and 'easy rider'. Cycles can be hired from The Cycle Clinic in Nailsworth by the day or week.
Golf Two courses can be found nearby allowing non-members to play. Minchinhampton Old Course is a links type course set up on top of Minchinhampton Common. Cotswold Edge Golf Course is more traditional. Both have stunning views across the Gloucestershire countryside.
Towns The local town of Nailsworth is very interesting to visit full of individual small shops. Bath, Cheltenham and Cirencester are larger towns and are only 40 minutes drive away. Bibury, Slad, Painswick and Stroud are all within 20 minutes and other numerous pretty villages are closer. There is a bus station in Nailsworth (six minutes walk) and a mainline station in Stroud.
Other Interests Other interesting places to visit include Westonbirt Arboretum, Woodchester Manor, Berkeley Castle, The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge founded by Sir Peter Scott, Ruskin Mill in Nailsworth and Dyrham Park. The Coach House is also within easy access to Gatcombe, Badminton and the Cheltenham Race Course.
Restaurants A wide variety of restaurants are to be found in and around Nailsworth including delicious pub food, friendly restaurants and formal French restaurants. Many are within walking distance from the Coach House.
All in all a holiday at The Coach House has something for everyone, whether it's a nature ramble, a trip to an historic Cotswold town or a romantic evening in a local restaurant.
To find The Coach House from the M5 leave at Junction and head towards Stroud. Then follow directions to Nailsworth on the A46. Keep on the road through Nailsworth and turn right at the B4058 signposted to Horsley. Drive for just under half a mile and take the sharp turning on the right signposted to Rockness. The Coach House is the third house on the left at the top of the steep hill and parking is beyond the building by the 30 mile-an-hour sign. Please get the keys from The Old Vicarage next door down the hill.
