This beautifully converted cottage is one of two which were
originally part of a former Victorian cattle yard, it is equipped to the highest
standards, yet has kept its old world charm with exposed beams and vaulted
ceilings.
The Lodge is located at Oxneys Farm in the peaceful hamlet of Bannister Green
which is part of the village of Felsted, on the family owned arable farm.
The cottage provides a secluded and tranquil retreat set back from the village
green down a private drive yet within a short walk of the Three Horse Shoes
public house set on the green.
We are a mile and a half from the centre of the village of Felsted with its
famous school founded in 1564 by Richard Lord Rich, Queen Elizabeth I Lord
Chancellor who lived at nearby Leez Priory.
Felsted has several restaurants, public houses and shops.
The Lodge is conveniently situated for access to Suffolk, Cambridgeshire or
London either by car or train from Chelmsford, and is 12 miles from Stansted
Airport.
The Lodge offers first class accommodation whether your stay
is a romantic weekend break, a business trip, a relaxing holiday or a longer
stay the cottage is available through out the year.
This exceptional ground level cottage has been lovingly converted to a very high
standard, the cottage has vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, tiled floors, oak
internal doors, soft subtle colours have been used for the décor and
furnishings.
Lounge/Dining room : This spacious room has a comfortable sofa,
two armchairs, a dining table and four chairs, TV (Freeview), DVD, CD, and a
radio. For the winter a wood burning stove.
Bedroom : the large family bedroom has one king-size bed and
two single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There are French doors which
open on to the courtyard.
Bathroom : has a separate shower, bath, wc and hand basin.
Kitchen : A well equipped kitchen with electric cooker and hob,
fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Cooking equipment,
utensils and china are all provided.
Outside : there is private parking, a courtyard terrace with
garden furniture and a garden area and barbeque.
