Josselyns
is a detached Self Catering bungalow in a rural setting next to a working arable
farm in White Roding. White Roding is situated in the Essex countryside between
Chelmsford (10 miles) Great Dunmow (5 miles) and Stansted Airport (7 miles).
Trains from Stansted reach London Liverpool Street in about 45 minutes. Great
Dunmow has a good selection of pubs, shops and restaurants but local public
transport is infrequent. Guests are advised to use their own transport. The
local pub which serves food is just less than a mile from Josselyns and the
nearest local store is in Leaden Roding 2 miles away. There is an outside tennis
court on site which guests may use.
Accommodation provides;
Entrance Hall: Two full length cupboards containing coin operated tumble drier
and ample space for outdoor clothes and shoes. Bookshelves with selection of
paperbacks for guests use during their stay.
Dining Room/Lounge: High quality matching suite. Glass topped dining table -
seats four. Colour TV and DVD player for guest use. Stereo system with double
cassette, CD and radio.
Kitchen: Modern eye level and floor units. Microwave, Washing Machine, Oven,
Dishwasher, Fridge, Toaster, Electric kettle and breakfast bar.
Bedroom: With double bed and full length mirrored wardrobes giving ample storage
space. Hair drier.
Bathroom: Fully tiled with shower cubical WC and vanity unit housing sink.
There is a private garden with patio.
The bungalow is fully central heated and equipped with thermostatically
controlled radiators in all rooms.
Parking is available directly outside the bungalow. Guests
wishing to leave their car at their own risk if flying from Stansted Airport can
do so at a charge of £3 per day.
Taxis to the airport can be arranged. Charges vary according to time and day
FROM THE NORTH
J8-M11 : Follow signs A120 Colchester (new bypass). Exit Dunmow SOUTH turn left.
Take next left following sign B184 Ongar/The Rodings. At mini roundabout turn
left. Straight over next mini roundabout. Through High Roding and when you reach
Aythorpe Roding turn right next to Axe & Compasses Pub.
Down lane past 2 cream houses on the RH side and
then over small white iron bridge turn immediately right (New Hall Farm). Go
along farm track and turn left just before bungalow in front of you. Go down
tree lined drive to Josselyns and knock on the door to the barn.
FROM THE SOUTH
M25-J27: Join M11. Make sure you are in correct lane for Cambridge/Stansted
direction. Come off at J7 signed Harlow. Take 4th exit-signed Chipping
Ongar(A414) Follow this sign until you reach a large roundabout with a BP Garage
in front of you. Turn left and follow B184 to Fyfield/Dunmow. You will be on
this road for about 10-15 minutes. When you get to the very end turn right. At
mini roundabout turn left signed Dunmow. When you reach Aythorpe Roding turn
left immediately next to Axe & Compasses Pub. Continue as above. Down lane…….
FROM CHELMSFORD: Take A1060 towards Roxwell/Leaden Roding. Stay on this road for
approx. 10-15 minutes. After entering Leaden Roding turn right at the mini
roundabout keeping the Country Store on your right hand side. You are now on the
B184 to Dunmow. Pass school, into Aythorpe Roding and turn left at the Axe &
Compasses Pub. Continue as above. Down lane….
