Brocking Farm Cottages - We are situated in a rural location 1.5 miles from the village of Clavering, a small arable and sheep farm on the Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire border, overlooking the Stort valley in an “Area of outstanding Natural Beauty”.

The surrounding area is typical of the North Essex rolling countryside with hedges, trees and fields growing mainly cereal crops.

There is a rich mixture of wildlife. Deer, Bats, Badgers and Foxes are often seen, as are most of the native nesting birds.

Lambs may be seen playing in the field at the rear of the cottages in the spring. We have two ponds for you to watch the newts, dragonflies and other pond life.

The garden has a sitting out area, garden furniture and barbecue for our guests to relax with a glass of wine.

There are many byeways and footpaths for you to walk, a book of local history walks written by a Clavering resident and local maps are available in each cottage. There is a very good village shop providing an in house bakery, butchers, newspapers and post office.

Ample secure parking available.

Brocking Farm Cottages are an ideal location to just relax or explore the surrounding countryside and market towns.
