These attractive Dorset Holiday Cottages are peacefully situated between the Dorset Downs and the Blackmore Vale in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Domineys Cottages are tucked away off a ‘No through’ road leading to farms and footpaths, making them an ideal holiday cottages base from which to explore Dorset’s wonderful countryside – with rural landscapes which have retained their tranquil beauty over the centuries.

Buckland Newton (Hardy’s Newland Buckton) is about ten miles from Sherborne, Dorchester and Sturminster Newton, and within easy driving distance of Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Exeter and the coast.

Chestnut Cottage - Double bedroom and second bedroom with small double bed. Living room with wood burner, colour TV and DVD player and sofa bed. Fully, fitted kitchen including microwave and washer dryer.

Domineys Cottages lie adjacent to our 17th-century thatched house and are surrounded by beautiful and unusual gardens, which are occasionally opened to the public through the National Garden Scheme.

Following extensive renovation, the Cottages are decorated, furnished, equipped to the highest standards and are immaculately maintained. They have been awarded a ‘Four Star Grade’ classification by the English Tourist Board

The Cottages have full central heating, double glazing, and fitted carpets throughout. Bathrooms, which are situated on the ground floor, have both bath and shower, plus heater and heated towel rail.

Keeper's Cottage - Double bedroom and second bedroom with bunk beds. Living room with wood burner, colour TV and DVD and sofa bed. Fully fitted kitchen including microwave and washer dryer.

Lime Cottage - Twin bedroom and second bedroom with double bed. Colour TV, DVD player, wood burner and sofa bed in living room. Fully fitted kitchen including microwave and washer dryer.

Dorset is steeped in history, offering castles, abbeys, museums, National Trust properties and other historic houses and gardens to visit, as well as World Heritage Coastline, wildlife parks and bird and nature reserves which may be of interest. Golf, fishing and horse riding are also possible.


There are many attractive pubs and restaurants within driving distance, as well as the local village pub, The Gaggle of Geese (Good Food) is only four minutes walk from the Cottages.
