Robin Hill Farm sits above an unspoilt, hidden valley (that many of our neighbours haven’t even seen!). We’re close to Bideford, North Devon and are surrounded by green fields and woodland. You’d never realise we’re only 4 miles from the blue flag beach at Westward Ho! and we have easy access to the wide ranging activities and attractions of North Devon and North Cornwall.
The six cottages are grouped around a cobbled courtyard. They were converted by local craftsmen from former stone farm barns and buildings leaving plenty of thick walls, beams and exposed stone walls.
The six cottages were converted from fine old stone barns and cow sheds. They range in size from smaller single-storey two bedroom cottages (ideal for 1 or 2 couples or young families) to larger family-sized 3 bedroom properties (great for bigger groups or those who just want a more space). Gull with an expanding table which seats up to 12, is often booked along with another cottage by two families or for special occasions.
The cottages are built along two sides of the old farmyard and the living spaces of each are not over looked. Across the courtyard is the farm house in which we live. Close enough to be on hand but far enough to give you space. The car-park is set away from the cottages (although you’re welcome to drive to your door to un-load/load) and even further from the outdoor play areas and indoor pool. Open all year, the cottages are cosily heated ready for your arrival in the colder months.
Our quiet position and thick, old stone walls provide calm for you to unwind and relax. If that’s not enough you can sooth away stress in the spa hot tub or swim in the pool.
We are in the centre of excellent walking country and near a number of award winning gardens and tearooms. Nature is even closer to home – depending on the season tawny owls hoot at night, buzzards fly by day, the yard is full of nesting swallows and house martins, and the banks surrounding the farm are heavy with wild primroses.
For the evening, the games room has Wii fit, table tennis or giant Jenga. Or relax in the setting sun, enjoy a DVD from our collection and maybe pop out later to star gaze the pollution free sky.
