Dartside Holidays - Dartmouth - Dartmouth lies at the mouth of the river Dart; a spectacular deep water estuary in South Devon. It is one of the great historic towns of England and is renowned as a holiday centre. It is surrounded by picturesque old towns and villages, steeped in history. The countryside is notable for is high rounded hills and steep sided valleys. The climate is warm in summer and mild in winter, average sunshine hours being the highest in the country.
As the name implies, Harbourside is situated on the quay, just along from our Riverside Court property and of course has the same wonderful view across Dartmouth harbour. Each apartment has its own balcony and is situated in a central, level position.
The apartments are tastefully furnished, are totally self-contained and have fully fitted carpets throughout.
Each apartment has a lounge/dining-room with colour television and electric fires, fitted kitchen with electric cooker and refrigerator, bathroom and WC with bath and instant-flow electric shower.
The accommodation is arranged to sleep four to six persons with comfort. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and in bedroom 2 there are two single beds. The lounge has a full size double bed-settee. The apartments are all electric with £1 slot meters. Bed linen and a cot are available on request when booking.

It is a purpose-built building containing eleven holiday apartments – on the level and centrally situated on the quayside in the heart of Dartmouth at South Embankment.
The apartments are modern and very spacious with fitted carpets throughout, and quite self-contained with their own front door. Each has a large living-room with colour television and electric fires; two bedrooms; fitted kitchen with electric cooker and refrigerator. Electricity is by £1 slot meter. half-tiled bathroom and WC with instant flow electric shower.
The accommodation is arranged to take from two to eight persons with every facility.
Apartments 1, 2 and 3 at the front have one double bed and one single bed in the front bedroom, two singles in the second bedroom with a drop-down double in the lounge. From their individual balconies these three apartments enjoy extensive views of the beautiful River Dart.
Apartments 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 also have balconies, but these are at the side of the building. The sleeping accommodation consists of a large bedroom with one double and two singles, a smaller bedroom with one double and a drop-down double in the lounge.
Apartment 7 is a one bedroom apartment with one double but there is a double bed-settee in the lounge. Suitable for a maximum of four persons, this is an extremely comfortable and cosy apartment.
Apartments 10 and 11 have a character all their own – with large lounges, you look through your bay window to the character architecture of Fairfax Place and on leaving your front door you are within a few yards of the river and harbour. There are two bedrooms, the first with one double and a single bed, whilst the second has two singles; there is also a drop-down double in the lounge.
The Mews - This first floor two bed roomed apartment is set in a quiet residential street leading off the Market Square. Centrally positioned within the town, all of the town's amenities, shops and services are close to hand. Additionally the beautiful River Dart, the panorama of the harbour and its backdrop are but a few strides away.
This exclusive detached property has been furnished and equipped to the
highest standard comprising:
A spacious studio style living room with colour television and full size double
bed settee. A purpose built kitchen area has integrated cooker with extractor,
microwave, hob, fridge and freezer, waste disposal and dishwasher. Both bedrooms
have fully fitted furniture, one with a double bed, and the other with two
single beds. The bathroom has a sumptuous low level corner bath, shower and all
the usual bathroom facilities. In the hallway a discretely hidden cupboard
houses an automatic washing machine and a tumble drier. The Mews has all the
benefits of the latest gas central heating with instant flow hot water. The cost
of gas and electricity are included in the rental.
We regret that due to the nature of this property children under the age of ten
will only be permitted at the discretion of the owners.
Dartside Court - Spectacular views of the Dart estuary are just one of the superb features of Dartside Court.
It is a purpose built building with a separate balcony to each of nine apartments. The situation is central, level and close to the shopping centre, being about 50 yards from the River Dart. Coronation Park – about 100 yards away, has putting greens, tennis courts, dinghy park, children's play area and an extensive playing field where you can play games or just sit and watch the boats go by.

Apartments 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9 sleep six persons – having a double bed-settee in the dining-room, bedroom 1 has a double bed, and bedroom 2, twin beds. Apartments 1, 4 and 7 sleep up to seven persons, accommodated as above, but bedroom 2 allows for double and a single bed.
Free bed linen and a cot are available on request when booking. Car parking is below the building.
19, Higher Street - These are small family units, ideal if you like a cosy atmosphere. Many like this accommodation in picturesque Higher Street. There are no steps to the front door, which is situated at the rear of the building – only a gentle slope from Newcomen Road. The windows overlook this road, with glimpses of the river.
Apartment 1 on the ground floor can accommodate four persons. The lounge/dining-room has a full size double bed-settee, colour television and electric fires. Bedroom with double bed, kitchen with electric cooker and refrigerator. Bathroom and WC combined with bath and shower.
Apartment 2 on the first floor, which can accommodate four to six persons, has an open plan living-room with a full size double bed-settee, colour television and electric fire; bedroom with double bed and two single beds; bathroom and WC combined.
Car parking is difficult in Dartmouth, but we are able to offer one space per apartment at our own private car park – only five minutes' level walk away.
