Built in the 1850's, this large Victorian residence offers
considerable character and charm, with unusual architecture, high cornice
ceilings, large open fireplaces and original tiled floors.
Beaconside Country House lends itself perfectly as a great big party house for
all those family and friend celebrations.
The large Sitting Room has glorious views overlooking your private lawned
terrace and the countryside beyond. Comfortable sofas , an open fireplace and
baby grand piano add to the charm of this delightful room.
The Dining Room seats up to 18 people. With its high ceiling and large open
fireplace this room provides the perfect atmosphere for any special celebration.
Should you wish, we can recommend a choice of talented chefs who can make your
meal even more relaxing and memorable.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes range-style cooker incorporating two
gas ovens, dishwasher, tumble drier, washing machine, fridge and freezer.
The TV room is equipped with Sky digital TV, DVD, video and CD midi system plus
plenty of videos and board games. Plenty to keep the kids occupied!
There are 8 big bedrooms, all with views. 4 double bedrooms, all en-suite, 3
twin rooms (one en-suite) and a bunk bedroom. A twin room and a double room have
an extra single bed. There are two further family bathrooms.
Set within Beaconside's charming grounds, guests have at their disposal a
completely private terraced area with BBQ and seating for 18 offering
uninterrupted views of the rolling hills and countryside.
North Devon is packed with attractions for all the family to
enjoy on their holiday.
The Beaconside Estate is just 5-10 minutes drive from the glorious sandy beaches
at Instow and Westward Ho! There are many other local attractions including
Dartington Crystal, R.H.S Rosemoor Gardens, The Milky Way and Big Sheep theme
parks and Royal North Devon Golf Club all 10 minutes drive away. A boat trip to
Lundy Island on the Oldenburg leaving from Bideford Quay is a great day out!
