Welcome to Tarn Flatt Farm

We offer high quality, three bedroom self-catering holiday accommodation in a recently refurbished cottage, close to the St Bees cliffs and beach on the beautiful Western Lake District coast.

Tarn Flatt cottage is on a working farm over looking the Scottish borders and hills. Situated in the tranquil countryside of Sandwith, which is very close to St Bees and the historic harbour town of Whitehaven. The superb Western Lakeland scenery of Loweswater, Buttermere, Ennerdale and Crummock Water is a short drive away.

There are three bedrooms available in the house including a double, a twin and a single containing full size bunk beds.
Double
Situated at the back of the house and has a double bed with wardrobe, dressing table and excellent coastal views.
Twin

Situated at the front of the house with twin beds and fitted wardrobe.
Single
Situated at the front of the house
containing full size bunk beds

The oil central heated accommodation briefly consists of kitchen, dining room, living room, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom.

All bedding and towels provided.
Non smoking only. 

Kitchen:
Fully equipped with fitted units, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, crockery cutlery utensils, with views of St Bees light house.

Dining Room
Seats 6 and offers views of Scottish coast line and Solway Firth.

The living area:
Comfortable sofas, colour TV and video.

Tarn Flatt cottage has a cliff-top location on St Bees Head Heritage Coast. Panoramic views of the Solway and the Scottish coastline. Quiet location close to the historic port of Whitehaven.

Tarn Flatt is a working farm which also includes St Bees lighthouse, RSPB bird reserve on the 100 metre cliffs and access to Fleswick Bay a secluded single cove. There is also climbing, and boulders at the base of the cliff are superb. The area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. St Bees with its sandy beach is 3 miles away or can be easily reached along the coastal path, which is part of the famous Coast to Coast walk.

Other places of interest close by are Muncaster castle, Ravenglass and Eskdale miniature railway, The Lakes of Ennerdale, Loweswater, Crummock, Buttermere and the valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale are waiting to be explored including the roman fort of Hardnott and the bathhouse at Ravenglass.
