We are delighted to announce that we are currently in the process of building a self catering holiday, cottage on Hadrian's Wall, Cumbria at Tantallon House. The accommodation will be ideal for couples as well as for families, and will be in the ideal location to explore both Cumbria and Northumberland as the village where Tantallon House is located is right on the border of both counties.
Our Self Catering Holiday Cottage on Hadrian's Wall is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife, none more so than in the nearby Northumberland National Park. When you stay at Tantallon House Holiday Cottage, you'll be sure to be relaxed in this beautiful part of the world. Hadrian's Wall is simply stunning, and continues to be one of England's best attractions, as it spans across the counties of Cumbria and Northumberland.
At the moment, as we are still in the process of refurbishing the Cottage, we do not have any photos taken of it yet. We hope to have these available in late February.
Tantallon Cottage is pleasant, light and contemporary with a spacious lounge containing French windows opening through to the private garden. The lounge is furnished with a large floor rug, two comfortable double sofas and a 37” TV with a DVD Blu ray player.
The bright kitchen, overlooking the garden, is equipped with up to date integrated appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, single oven, ceramic hob and fridge with freezer compartment.
A contemporary foldable dining table seats 4 people in the dining area.
Upstairs, a good sized bedroom, contains a luxurious king size bed (5’) and a 3’ single bed with wardrobe and dressing table. Top quality linens are used on the beds with goose down duvets.
The cottage is equipped with an environmentally efficient central heating / hot water installation for the kitchen, shower and hand basin.
Tantallon Cottage has been completely refurbished over the winter 2010/spring 2011 and the appliances, the kitchen, the bathroom fittings, floor tiling, rugs and furniture are all brand new.
