Primrose
Cottage - Within a five minute walk is the Cross Keys Inn, a delightful old
country pub, serving bar meals. The little village of Tebay has two churches,
two pubs, a railway club and pretty walks along the banks of the River Lune
(well used by fishermen).
Tebay is situated 16 miles from Penrith to the north, 11 miles from Kendal to
the south and almost adjacent to the north Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. The
Howgill fells, as yet one of the quieter places for walkers, are the hills
located within easy reach of the village. The Scottish border is approximately
one hours drive north, making Tebay and Primrose Cottage an ideal overnight stop
for journeys up and down the country, or an excellent centre to access Cumbria,
the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales.
Whether you are a discerning traveller, a peace-seeking weekender or a tired
motorist, you will find a special welcome here at Primrose Cottage.
We can be located easily, by leaving the M6 motorway at junction 38 taking the
right turn at the roundabout and Primrose Cottage is the first house on the
right with ample parking to the front of the house.
Primrose Flat - There
is a new kitchen with domino hob and built in oven also an integrated fridge.
The kitchen is fully inclusive of all equipment and includes complimentary tea,
coffee, sugar and WIFI throughout.
The bathroom is a newly
designed wet room with altro non slip flooring and grab rails, thermostatic
shower, loo and wash basin.
A spacious lounge/diner has a large leather sofa, dining table and flat screen
TV with DVD. All bed linen and towels are inclusive and a Continental breakfast
can be ordered for the fridge i.e. cereals, bread, butter, yoghurts, milk and
fruit.
Private off-street parking is available and
there is access to one acre of garden/woodland, which is lovely for dogs. There
is also a patio set for dining out on the terrace during those lovely summer
days.
There is a restaurant within a two minute walk, offering all day breakfasts and good food. There are also two lovely village pubs, both serving food and takeaways.
Enjoy the surroundings in the 'Garden of Eden' where your comfort is assured and where guests receive their personal attention at all times. Relaxing holidays, short breaks, mid-week and over night bookings are acceptable with nightly rates
Primrose Lodge
The bungalow is detached
and sits in one acre of private garden, edged with pine trees and lawns and
bordered by a small stream. It has its own drive and private off-road parking
adjacent to the bungalow.
There are lovely views of the Lakeland fells from each window and whilst close
to the M6 it is remarkably peaceful.
Primrose Lodge is an excellent stopover or
superb holiday venue for both short and long stays for a disabled person alone,
or with their family.
The kitchen and dining areas are fully equipped including fridge, microwave and
freezer. It is spacious and there is a lower work top surface suitable for
wheelchair users.
Within the Lodge there are two bedrooms, one
double 4 poster. There are 2 bathrooms 1 is en-suite to the 4 poster and the
other is a wheel in wet room designed for wheelchair users.
All rooms have electric heating, colour television, bed linen and towels are
included.
There is a lovely lounge with French windows
leading onto a balcony, which overlooks the garden. There are two sofas and
lumbar support chairs.
In the lounge there is a large television DVD player, WIFI throughout and you
will also find a television in each bedroom.
Private parking is
adjacent the bungalow for unloading and security. Pets are welcome as are
well-behaved owners! Children can be catered for with highchair and travel cot
provided.
