Faulds Farm - Drive along the unfenced roads through the spectacular Northern Lakes scenery until you arrive at our cosy cottages located on a working farm near to the picturesque Cumbrian village of Caldbeck.
We are Ideally situated for walkers to explore Skiddaw and the northern fells and visitors to see the Lake District, the West Cumbrian coast & the Border city of Carlisle (including Hadrian's wall). The cottages are the ideal retreat or get-away for those who want a quiet week break.
Our cottages were recently renovated from an old barn and are tastefully decorated and furnished, keeping the character of the building yet having all modern conveniences. We have plenty of parking and pets are welcome. There is a well tended garden and patio area which guests can use.
Our cottages are fully furnished and decorated in a manner that suits the property. They consist of a living room with open fire, radio & television; a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, and dishwasher; two bedrooms (a double and a twin) and a bathroom with shower & bath.
The cottages have storage heaters and double glazing so are cosy throughout the year. There is plenty of parking directly outside the properties and views are excellent. There is a shared garden at the rear of the property and pets are welcome.
All fuel and power is included in the cost as is bed linen and a cot (if required). We also can arrange babysitting if you would like an evening out in nearby Caldbeck, Keswick or Carlisle.
The cottages are set in the heart of Caldbeck Common in the Northern Lake District. This is ideal walkers country with a good mix of easy rambling or hiking up Blencathra or Skiddaw. (On the left are our cottages!)
For the less energetic, the gently rolling countryside is beautiful for a stroll setting the scene for amazing sunsets and sunrises. Nearby are the lovely villages of Caldbeck and Uldale where you can dine & shop.
In John Peel Country, Caldbeck is a pretty and peaceful village with a collection of restaurants, cafes, antique shops, a goldsmith and clockmaker!
The bustling market town of Keswick is only 14 miles away (and a lovely drive!) with its theatre, shops, cinema, restaurants and galleries. Cockermouth (the poet Wordsworth's birthplace) is also 14 miles and the border city of Carlisle is only 16 miles North with Hadrian's Wall being only a few miles further.
