Weardale Holiday Cottages - We have six well equipped self catering cottages in picturesque Weardale, County Durham, England. The location is ideal for exploring County Durham and the north of England, we are just 18 miles from Durham City. The cottages sleep all party sizes, up to 14, and are available for weeks and for short breaks all year round.
The Old School is a large, spacious detached property, originally the village school now converted to a very high standard. The property, which is situated in its own grounds, is suitable for 14 people and is located just off the front street in Frosterley.
This holiday cottage stands in a lovely garden with a south facing patio and has fine views from the south lounge and master bedroom.
The local shop is only a 150m walk and there is a pub only 500m away.
The cottage comprises a lounge, a second lounge with games room, bar and pool table, dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, utility room with adjoining shower room plus toilet and basin, 4 double rooms, one twin with en-suite bath toilet and basin, two twin rooms, bathroom with corner bath, shower cubicle, toilet and basin.
The Gingang is located on the outskirts of Frosterley overlooking the river wear and provides excellent accommodation for up to 10 people.The Gingang has a spacious beamed living room with gas wood burner and double doors, which lead onto a beamed well-equipped farmhouse style kitchen/dining room with range-style cooker.
The double bedroom with en-suite is located on the ground floor and is suitable for partially disabled.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room/wc. Two twin bedrooms, bathroom with shower cubicle and corner bath.
The Stables is located on the same property as the Gingang and provides accommodation for up to 7 people.The Stables has a spacious beamed living room and kitchen/dining-room.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. The bathroom has an over bath shower.
The Old Byre is located on the same site as the Gingang and provides excellent accommodation for up to 6 people.The Old Byre has a spacious living room and kitchen/dining-room.

Betsdale Cottage A detached 18th century cottage stands just off the main street on the same site as The Old School. This property sleeps 5 people.
Betsdale Cottage is centrally placed for Teesdale and the Yorkshire Dales, there are many places of interest including Beamish Open Air Museum, Hamsterley Forest as well as local riding within 3 miles and glorious walking on the moors.
The cottage is made up of lounge, dining room, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom , 1 single bedroom and bathroom with shower and toilet.
Riverview is on the same site as The Gingang, The Old Byre and The Stables. It provides accommodation for up to 4 people.This semi detached cottage is a conversion of a 19th Century Barn in a most attractive position. The cottage has super views overlooking the River wear to woods and hillside of the valley beyond.
