Romaldkirk Holiday Cottages are located in a farm setting in the heart of the picturesque village of Romaldkirk in the heart of Teesdale.

this idyllic setting! Surrounded by spectacular scenery but just 200 yards from
the pretty village greens the cottages are a stone’s throw away from the
Rose and Crown
the award winning 18th century coaching inn. The nearest garage and shop
is only mile and a half away.
Middleton in Teesdale(4 miles) and the market town of Barnard Castle(6 miles)
provide a unique variety of antique shops and restaurants. The cottages provide
a good central base to enjoy Teesdales wealth of outdoor activities and explore
the heritage of northern England with good access to Durham and Northumberland,
the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. There is ample off road parking close
to the cottages and well behaved pets
are welcome,
Ashwood Lodge is a seven bed roomed luxury cottage converted
from stables and byres sleeping 14 plus 3 children.
The Lodge is well decorated and furnished to a very high standard but still
maintains a friendly family atmosphere. The large lounge leads onto a private
patio which enjoys views across the open hills.

A wood burning stove in the sitting room gives Lowgreen Farmhouse
a very cosy ‘home from home’ atmosphere. The Farmhouse sleeps twelve. Outside
there is a large enclosed garden complete with furniture and swings. Shower,
bath, shaver point, Colour TV, Sky Freeview, video, cot and high chair, electric
cooker, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, fridge freezer,
microwave,
and a fully equipped kitchen.
Bed linen is provided. Please bring your own towels.
Fuel is provided for the wood burner in the sitting room.
There is night store heating in other rooms.
Bide-a-wee is a cosy cottage with flagged floors and beamed
ceilings.
The cottage sleeps 4 plus 2 children and has its own Patio complete with garden

cot, high chair, electric cooker, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, fridge,
microwave, a fully equipped kitchen and patio furniture.

The village of Romaldkirk takes its name from the village
church. St. Romald's is part Norman and is also known as "the Cathedral of the
Dale" and overlooks the village green. The Kirk Inn and the award winning Rose
and Crown Inn also nestle around the pretty village green which boasts original
stocks and village pump.
