Cornwall is a county of stunning, natural beauty with its rugged coastline, sandy beaches, secluded coves and wild moorland. A county shrouded in myth and mystery. An ancient landscape scattered with granite standing stones and mystical stone circles; busy little fishing villages where time seems to stand still. It’s a place where you can feel and see the inspiration of writers and artists - old and new.
Darrynane too is a place of natural beauty and seclusion, with just a hint of mystery set in an ideal location for touring and sightseeing.
The Lodge is the oldest of the three cottages, having been built at the same time as the house. It is a cosy, yet spacious holiday home for a couple. The Lodge has a double en-suite bedroom with four poster bed and dressing room. It has an open plan well fitted kitchen/ dining room with archway leading to the living room. The central focus of the lounge is the original brick fireplace, found at the time of the renovations, this houses the wood burning stove. The lounge overlooks the garden and a small waterfall, which tumbles in to the top pond. Outside there is a private patio, a suntrap with a lovely view looking down onto the garden. It is possible to enjoy magnificent evening sunsets any time of the year (weather permitting).
Riverside situated in it's own private grounds beside the non flooding Tor river and across the road from the main house. Riverside has one double room with four poster bed and a twin-bedded room, with separate bathroom including a shower. There is a small, well planned, "galley type" kitchen which leads off the cosy, living room with wood burning stove. There are wooden floors in the lounge/kitchen area and a leather suite in the lounge, also a freeview LCD TV/DVD.
Lakeside situated next to the top pond and water garden
with cascading waterfall and views down through the oak woods to the bottom
lake. Lakeside is the largest and newest of the cottages. It has an open plan
kitchen and living area with wooden flooring and rugs, a shower room as
well as a double and twin bedded room. The sofa bed in the living area,
means the cottage can accommodate up to six people.
Outside there is a patio next to the top, small, trout pond for BBQ's or
relaxing and enjoying the sun. There is parking for two cars, and direct access
to the oak woods and small lake. There is also a freeview LCD TV/DVD.
