Millmoor Farm holiday cottages are luxury, fully equipped self catering cottages set on a working farm. Our self catering cottages are the ideal accommodation for a relaxing country holiday - set in the rolling Cheshire countryside, there really is no more idyllic a location - and offer a perfect balance between being able to completely unwind, or, if you prefer, getting involved with the day to day life of a working farm!
Our self catering cottages are located in a little valley overlooking the picturesque Cheshire village of Malpas. We enjoy stunning views across the countryside in Cheshire, Wales, Shropshire and Staffordshire, and a clear day invites miles and miles of fantastic, uncluttered scenery. Although the hustle and bustle of everyday life can seem a world away, we are less than 30 minutes from the historic city of Chester and all that it offers in the way of sightseeing and shopping or a lively, energetic day out in the shape of the world famous Chester Zoo. Both Liverpool and Manchester lie just beyond that, less than an hour away.
Our holiday cottages, if we do say so ourselves, are a perfect blend of modern facilities and good old country comfort and cosiness. WiFi broadband is available in all cottages, and fully equipped kitchens offer everything you should need to cater for a snug night in or a robust early breakfast. All cottages are centrally heated, with the Millers House and Farmhouse Wing benefitting from a log burning stove as well.
Your pets are also most welcome on our Farm, but please mention this to me before booking if you want to bring them along.

Millmoor Farm is a great place to get a feel of what life is like on a modern working farm. We have a calf rearing enterprise and feed the calves twice a day with milk. We also have 200 breeding sheep, rare breeds of chickens and pigs and the stars of the farm, our three Collie dogs - Sam, Sian and Floss the baby. We also grow arable crops, which are mainly feed for the animals.
You can watch the animals at Millmoor Farm, and help feed them, too, if you like. Just ask us at any time, and we'll sort things out. We'll make sure you're safe at all times.
The countryside around the farm is very attractive, and to help you enjoy it we've created 2 circular walks on the farm. They're both reasonably easy, and you won't need any special walking equipment. There are great views into Wales and Shropshire from most parts of the farm.
Farming and the Environment
We work really hard to look after and improve the ecological aspects of the farm. We've planted new hedges, made new ponds, established new bridleways and footpaths - and we've even made a hide for badger watching.
Millmoor Farm is a traditional family farm, and we all love living here. This is a great part of the world, and we really enjoy being able to share it with our guests.
