|
This
spacious 17th Century Barn Conversion sleeps up to 6 in two en-suite
bedrooms. This former barn been sympathetically converted,
retaining many original features, with superb views. Situated on
the owner's small-holding with livestock, there are excellent walks
from the door.
Throughout
the barn there is a wealth of exposed timbers. The entrance hall
and kitchen have stone-flagged floors and sitting room has been
carpeted. Whilst upstairs the flooring is reclaimed pine
with bedside rugs.

bedroom with beautiful four-poster bed, and a single bed with
additional rollaway bed, may be used as a double/twin or family
room, sleeping up to 4 people, en-suite bathroom, and television.

bedroom with feature draped bed, with en-suite bathroom, and
television. The additional rollaway single bed in the other
bedroom may be used in here to create a twin/family room sleeping
up to 3 people.

with spectacular views over the Cheshire Plain towards the Welsh
Mountains, separating the cottage from our open farmland.

parking for 2 cars.

Friday
to Friday bookings and short breaks are available - Friday to
Monday and Monday to Friday.

times are after 3 p.m. Checkout by 10 a.m.

All
electricity is included as is the first basket of fuel for the
fire, bed linen (duvets) & towels.

Rainow
& the Area
Rainow
and its area offer a huge selection of things to do and see, from
exploring the Peaks and Plains of Cheshire and the natural beauty of the
Peak District National Park. Follow
the footpath from the door to the Gritstone Trail or one of the other
many footpaths that cross over Harrop Fold’s land.
Bollington is 5 minutes away with its lovely canal and mills and
10 minutes
drive reaches Macclesfield with its interesting silk history.
Within ½ hour’s drive is the Goyt Valley and Buxton with
its glorious
Georgian crescent or Tatton Park, Dunham Massey and Styal Mill
are all an interesting visit nearby. Around ¾ hour's drive is
Alton Towers Theme Park, Staffordshire;
Chatsworth House with
its beautiful gardens and park, interesting farmyard, children's
adventure park, and Bakewell,
famous for its Puddings as well as the beauty of Haddon Hall. Castleton
to
view the caverns and Blue John stone.

Within
an hour’s drive - there is the Lowry Centre at Salford Quays with a
gallery of original Lowry paintings to view as well as the Designer
Outlet.
Across the Manchester Ship Canal using the new suspension bridge is the Northern
War Museum.
Nearby is the Theatre of Dreams, Manchester United.
Manchester offers a good selection of theatres, restaurants and shops
and museums; the Museum of Science and Industry,
with working trains, and real aeroplanes! The Manchester
University Museum with
an especially good Egyptian department.
Around
1¼ hour's drive away is Chester, a beautiful Roman walled city
offering boat trips down the River Dee, a Cathedral and ‘The Rows’.
Nearby Chester Zoo and
the Blue Planet
Aquarium,
Ellesmere Port.
Within a 2 hour drive is North Wales with its beautiful coastline and
beaches, and many dramatic castles .
