Mike and Carole welcome you to rural
Cheshire and invite you to stay on their working farm in one of three exclusive
barn conversion self catering cottages. The spacious cottages have been
carefully designed and fully equipped to accommodate families on holiday and
business people working in near by cities Manchester and Liverpool. Fir Tree
Barn self catering cottages also make an excellent solution for someone looking
for a short term let whilst relocating or working anywhere in the North West as
it is only five minutes from both the M6 and M56.
The farm is located on the outskirts of the 17th
century Arley Estate and the picturesque village of Antrobus which has a village
shop/post office and pub. There are several local places to eat including the
Antrobus Arms and the Bears Paw which offer excellent food (see Places to Eat
for further options).
Mike and Carole are always striving to ensure
standards are kept high and everyone who visits Fir Tree Barn Cottages enjoy
there stay. The cottages have been awarded 4 star grading from Visit Britain.
Mike and Carole have created Fir Tree Barn
self catering cottages on their working farm by the conversion of a lovely
traditional Cheshire farm barn. The farm is mainly beef, sheep and arable and is
part of the Countryside Stewardship scheme being farmed in a manner to care for
the environment. Visitors can often see lapwings and birds of prey in addition
to a wide range of wildlife.
Fir Tree Barn offers three spacious oak beamed luxury
cottages each containing a double and twin bedroom.
Although located in an attractive and peaceful rural
Cheshire area the self catering cottages are located five minutes from junction
20 of the M6 which is also the intersection with the M56 which is the motorway
linking Chester and Manchester. This makes them ideal for short term lets,
business and holidays as they give easy access to the cities of Liverpool,
Manchester and Chester as well as having the smaller towns of Knutsford,
Northwich and Warrington within a ten minute drive.
Our location is ideal for visiting many local
attractions (see Days Out) including Arley Hall, a delightful stately home
surrounded by picturesque gardens. It also features Stockley Farm which attracts
many visitors as it caters for all the family offering tractor rides, access to
lots of animals, a playground and a cafe. Antrobus village is home of an 18 hole
golf course which welcomes non members.
